Marriage God’s Way by is a great resource for married couples seeking a marriage designed by God. The author tackles head on the tough topics that ‘The world’ usually tap dances around and aligns them with the biblical truths that will challenge your thinking, intentions, and perspectives. I highly recommend this book to any couple who wants their marriage to be Christ-Centered God’s Way.

I stumbled onto Scott LaPierre’s marriage retreat recordings a few months ago and was given new eyes to see God’s intention for marriage. I was convicted to make changes in the way I treat my husband and the way I see him as the leader God chose for our family. I was excited to read Marriage God’s Way, to see if I could gain additional insight into a godly marriage. I was not disappointed. I was refreshed! I was reminded of what I had already heard in the retreat and given new inspiration through Scripture and personal anecdotes that Scott shared. I was able to relate to the examples and see myself, in my marriage, more clearly. It was a humbling experience but also a blessing and quite freeing. I highly recommend diving into Your Marriage God’s Way with an open mind and an open heart. Prayerfully seeking God’s will for your marriage, whether you are newlyweds just starting out or a well-seasoned couple.

Scott LaPierre's book, Your Marriage God's Way, begins with an introduction that explains why he wrote this intelligent, helpful and impressive book. LaPierre opens his arguments by urging people to believe God's word rather than him. Because of his passion for marriage and family, as well as everything he has learned as a husband and father, he felt compelled to author the book and its companion workbook. LaPierre's enthusiasm for marriage, family and people shines through throughout the book. He cites the scriptural foundation for his writing about the roles of husbands and wives in an easy-to-understand and absorbable manner. However, he admits that because of our sinful natures, the scriptural roles may be difficult for spouses to follow. LaPierre uses parallels between marriage and scripture-from creation to the New Testament-to illustrate how God envisions marriage. There are instructions for married couples on how to live and love one another, intermingled with examples of God's unfailing, unconditional love for His children and how it pertains to marriage. I appreciated how each spouse's responsibility was broken down within a Biblical framework. I especially like how distinct Biblical terms were clarified and explained in great depth. Pastors, counselors, youth ministers, and Sunday school teachers could use Your Marriage God’s Way to help married and single people alike. I received an ARC e-book of this book from the author. However, my review is voluntary, and all opinions are my own.
