Plus not at all the ass I assumed he was. Then there’s this massive pain and grief and loneliness I see in his eyes. I just want to hug him constantly and give him the sense of family he so desperately needs.
So really, can you blame me for falling for the one man I know I shouldn’t?

Intriguing
This was a little convoluted with so many characters and of course the unusual circumstances of Lucy, and Vaughn’s situation with the passing of Duke. I did enjoy Vaughn’s fierce desire to keep any chance of what family he may have left. I liked all the emotions this book makes you feel heartbreak, loneliness, forlorn, but also joy, the gift of life and the sense of family despite blood relation. I will say, this was an enjoyable read, but a little drawn out in some areas that could have been shortened.
