A Fork in the Road

“A Fork In The Road”, the fifth book of a fantastic multi-authored series and collaboration, the “Farm 2 Forking” series with all books set in the same world, the Bedd Fellows Farm in the New York Catskills and each book featuring a Bedd Family Sibling. Ember Leigh’s contribution is Jackson, the youngest Bedd, and event planner, Bella Keegan’s story. Jackson, a rockstar in his own making, has avoided coming home for reasons only known to him, ones he does not want to share, and he always felt like the family outsider. Now that his only sister, Colleen, has made him an uncle of two Bacon bits, a niece and a nephew, he needs to come see them. He planned on it being a brief visit, but he winds up staying a little longer. Seeing Bella at his family’s home surprised him, they share history, having met in the past and Jackson was attracted to her, but she was involved with someone. Bella was there to coordinate a fundraising event for the farm, and is staying at his childhood home while there. These two start out like oil and vinegar, but the longer they spend time together, the clearer it becomes that there is an undeniable chemistry between them. I loved these two together and for each other, it was great to watch their relationship morph into something more. It was also great to watch the Bedd family come together and see them bond and all be on the same page. This wonderfully written and plotted has the perfect balance of drama, witty dialogue and humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. “A Fork in the Road” led Jackson onto the right path, back home, back on top of his career, and to find the love of his life, well, other than Baabara. Ember Leigh, thank you for this fabulous story and emotional roller coaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Alastair Haynesbridge and Erin Mallon rocked this entire series, with top-notch and consistent character voices and performances throughout while creating a gem of a listen. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Each portrayal was unique to that character’s personality, and they nailed it every time, including Jackson and Bella’s roles. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they conveyed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for this amazing listen.

What a fun and charming final installment by Ember Leigh for this fun and unique series. I adored Jackson and Bella’s story. A rock star with secrets and an event planner who’s trying to find her place in this world. Although they’ve known each other for years they don’t like each other very much but the attraction is certainly palpable. As they begin to work together to pull off a fundraising music event, Bella and Jackson grow closer. And as they open up to each other, it was heartwarming to be a part of that. The whole Bedd family plus Baabara the sheep are fantastic side characters that round out this small-town romance.

I’m sad to see this series end as I’ve so enjoyed all 5 books, each unique with their charming stories, written by different authors.
