About this audiobook

A dark contemporary billionaire romance with a tortured hero, touch her and die, and secret society tropes from USA Today Bestselling Author duo P. Rayne.

My life changed forever the day I saved Obsidian Voss from drowning in the ocean.

When my father lands himself in trouble, I take a job working for Obsidian, one of the country’s most famous billionaires. It doesn’t take long for me to realize that there’s more behind the façade he presents to the world—a darker, more dangerous side.

Still, I’m drawn to him. As he introduces me to a world I never knew existed, I find myself falling for him. But I’m torn because I came to Midnight Manor with a hidden agenda, and I’ve been lying to Obsidian from the start. Eventually, he’s going to find out.

My secret will change everything. And if Obsidian really is the monster he thinks he is, what will he do to me?

This book was ok. Why did the female narrotor sound like she was crying ALL THE TIME? It was distracting. There were much more that could have been done in this book, but alas that is a missed opportunity. Will not spend any more time on the rest of the series.

I always say that I don’t care what this writing duo writes, I’m reading it. But when they deliver a fairytale retelling of your all time favorite princess…I never stood a chance to not become completely consumed.
In all reality, I read this book in a day! I started & then had to stop because of work & I was completely chastising myself for signing up for extra shifts. But once Obsidian Voss got his claws in me, I was going off the deep end right alongside the beautiful Ariana.
Sid is a tortured soul and the loner of the Voss brothers. He’s resigned to the fact that he could never be worthy of someone’s unconditional love. But that thought process makes it so much more spectacular when he falls.
Ariana has grown up in a world not fit for a young lady. She’s been a pawn to her father’s games long enough & refuses to play a part. At least that is until a deal is made with her very own version of the sea witch, all in an effort to save her father & brother from a tragic fate.
I loved the way that both Sid & Ariana had hidden secrets that completely defined who they were to the core, but yet secrets that they were both working so hard to overcome & conquer. And though it took them a while & extreme measures, I loved how they both were so understanding and accepting of each other’s past, faults, & inner demons.
Their chemistry was off the charts & setting the page ablaze. When they fell, they fell hard & fast, & it was something that neither expected to even begin to hope for.
This series has brought me to LIFE! Every book has been phenomenal & I’m truly sad to be leaving the world of the Voss brothers, Midnight Manor, & Magnolia Bend. Although, I wouldn’t be disappointed in some Ritual Room cameos in other books…**cough**MR. SMITH**cough**

    Audiobook Review:
Sebastian York could not have been a better fit for Obsidian Voss, even if Sid was a real person. The entire delivery of this character portrayal was top notch. And Kit Swann’s portrayal of Ariana was absolutely perfect! Her delivery of Ariana’s many moods & emotions were so intense & completely on point.
