    Another Linked Across Time book!! Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I just love this series and really like how we get to meet characters like Scarlett and Christian in a prior book and are given subtle teasers about their future story before their characters are featured in their own book! I also enjoy how there are cameo appearances by past characters or even recurring characters from one book to another whose lives are all intertwined in some way or another! The paradoxes of time travel!! That is one of the things that keeps a reader returning over and over again to this series. The primary reason though has got to be the excellent storytelling by the author! Ms. Brower has long been a favorite author of mine for that very reason. She has a wonderful ability to draw a reader into the story and make it come alive! This is a series and an author that never disappoints!

    Christian Kendall, Marquess of Blackthorn, future Duke of Weston & Scarlett Lynwood saw their future together in 1835 in a mirror. It scared them. They did not want to believe it to be true. Scarlett tells Christian that her future has nothing to do with him. She does not believe they are meant to be together. Deep down she did believe it to be true even though she wanted to deny it. Scarlett has avoided him for the last ten years. Now they meet again at a house party his mother is having. Scarlett did not want to go to the house party but agreed to go with her cousin Hyacinth. The vision had scared Christian as a youth but now he was ready to accept his fate.

    This is a fun and upbeat story. It was very entertaining and kept me interested from the beginning. Scarlett sets up Christian for a wild ride in his pursuit of her. Christian is quite charming and never gives up. He decides that he will have Scarlett! This is the first time I have read a book by Dawn Bower. She is a delightful writer. I look forward to reading all her other books in The Linked Across Time series. I am definitely interested in reading the romances of their family members in earlier books. This is a short and sweet romance. You definitely will not be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

    This story has two people ten years earlier look in a mirror and sees themselves which means that they will end up together. He asks her if she believes it and she says NO! As time goes on she doesn’t want to marry but wants to travel but isn’t allowed. He’s the son of a Duke and expected to marry. He has other dreams but realizes that he has a responsibility to fulfill. He thinks they will be together but she still denies it. Will fate push them together?

    Christian and Scarlett have a past, but can they have a future. Scarlett wants to be free like her mother but she cannot. She will never be the complete lady either. Scarlett could not see you future but knew she did not want to be with Christian. Sometimes we do not get what we want but maybe what we need. I loved the characters and the story itself. Wonderfully written with warm characters, sometimes you liked them and other times they annoyed you but all in all a great book.

    Lady Scarlett and Lord Christian have a history, their lives are linked and both are fighting it. Lady Scarlett has a gift that allows her to see the future but sadly not her own. Lord Blackthorn aka Christian Kendall is the son of the Duke and Duchess of Weston, Scarlett and Christian's mothers are from the future and their lives intertwine. Christian has finally accepted his future, but Scarlett fights hers at every turn. Will they get their happy ever after or is it too late for them? I enjoyed them together. They match each another very well.

    Shocked By My Vixen is book fourteen of the Linked Across Time series. I am loving this series and how the mirror plays a big part in each person's life. In this book we get Lady Scarlett and Lord Christian's story. When they were young they saw their future in the mirror and is scared them but now that they are older he decides that he and Scarlett will be together. The writing is great, the characters are likable, the story is interesting and this is a great addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

    Shocked by my vixen
    14 in this series.

    Once again the mirror is used in bringing the book to life.
    Our two heroes, we have met before, in an earlier book.
    It's now time for their own story.

    The book was really well written.
    The characters were just about walking off the page, sharing their parts
    The scenery was razor sharp descriptions, making it easy to imagine the background and the whole story, like a stage show.

    I really enjoyed this book.

    Oh that blasted mirror has done it again. Ten years earlier Christian and Scarlett stared into the lure of the mirror only to see themselves. In disbelief Christian asked Scarlett did she honestly believe it would happen to which she replied, my future has nothing to do with you. But of that she could not be certain as she could not see her own future only the future of others. Now ten years later Christian has excepted his fate with open arms. Scarlett not so much for some reason I was never quite clear on she just kept denying it also I think was was just plain scared. Eventually Scarlett accepted her fate. I must admit I did not like Scarlett I couldn’t get past how childish she acted towards Christain. But I was very happy Christian got his happy ever after and thanks to his sister he is aware of his gift. Now who’s future or past will the mirror be Scrying up next?
