Feedback already received for "Under A Hunter's Moon (Shadows Over Seattle: Prequel One)":
“I enjoy the author's twist on the old werewolf lore, creating a whole new version and calling them Lupines, to allow him to break the rules of the legends without really breaking things, if you know what I mean. ”
- (1st Edition Review)

"I'm usually a gal who needs romance in her books, but I have to say that I got my hands on a copy of Under a Hunter's Moon by Timothy Bateson and found a great read! This is a short story, so it's a quick read, but it's got suspense, action, and it left me wanting to know when the next one is coming out! If you enjoy shifter stories, this one is a great Urban Fantasy short story that introduces you to some characters that you'll definitely need to know more about!"

This is for all the writers who have taken the brave step to put themselves and their work out into the world. Writing is a very personal experience, and every piece of writing is a child of our imagination, and the result of blood, sweat and tears.

It’s also for the friends, family, and fellow creative folks that not only believe in us but trust us enough to come back from the worlds and personalities we create in our heads.

But, more than anything, it’s for those readers who take the risk of picking up stories by authors they’ve never heard of, and for those who take a chance and recommend those stories to their friends.

    Chapter One

    July 12th, 2014

As I closed the door to our apartment, and turned left into the kitchen, my girlfriend came storming into the room. Taking one look at her I knew I was in trouble, and I had a feeling that I knew what I’d done. Nazurl was usually even tempered and when I’d done something to upset her she’d let me know with a look that could melt sheet steel.

The look she wore now was one I’d never seen before, and never wanted to see again. Her deep brown eyes flashed in anger, and I saw the storm brewing. She’d gone from being my Nubian Goddess into a full-born African Goddess of War.

I didn’t even get a warning shot, or chance to compose myself before she launched her first offensive strike.

Richard Evan Parsons…, Oh God, I was in real trouble. I’ve been waiting over three hours for you to get home… And she’d had time to build up a head of steam over whatever it was… Great.

I tried to interrupt by moving in for a hug, with my arms wide open, but was stopped by the sight of what she had in her hand. The amber liquid slopped around the inside of the bottle as she swung it in my direction, holding the neck, and brandishing it like a club.

The sight of the amber liquid splashing against the glass stopped me instantly, and I was more worried about the whiskey than I was Nazurl’s anger. One wrong move, or word and that precious liquid was going to be gone.

Do you know where I found this? Of course, I did, but I wisely decided not to answer the question. It was obvious where she’d found it, and how. But I wasn’t going to interrupt her, because I was afraid that it’d go badly for me.

I was getting out of the shower, after my workout, and found THIS behind the towels Exactly where I’d left it, after opening it, and draining half the bottle over the course of a couple of hours.
