See AllTruly memorable proposals
Story of Eleanor and Lord Stratford. Eleanor was the ward of the previous Earl. The earldom if now passed on to Stratford, who has a dislike to the concept of marriage.
Eleanor's story was heart-wrenching even til the end, and the title should have been regrettable proposals or regrettable declarations. There were so many despicable statements addressed towards her.But she was a commendable heroine. She did not resort to revenge or physical violence just a direct reply.
Aside from drama I find comedy and always anticipate his (Stratford"s) blunder when he was around Eleanor.
This is a long story of about love, reconciliation, mystery humiliation and fortitude. Enjoyed this story very much. I highly recommend reading it.

Clever and funny!
This sweet romance is clever and funny. Ms. Goutet has a delightful way of setting a scene and making us care about the characters from the very start. Also, it's important to note that it's a pleasure to listen to this book --- not all books are written well enough to be read aloud with ease. Even though I had already read the book in Kindle form, I enjoyed it just as much in audio!.

It’s a cute story
This book was good. It gives the warm feelings; however, it isn’t my favorite by Jennie. The main male character rubs me the wrong way. I can’t really get to like him and he doesn’t really make me swoon. It is still a good sweet book though.
