The NHL star is only here for the ride, but when the wedding planner turns out to be one that got away, it has him questioning his desire to walk down the aisle with the wrong person even more.I was super skeptical about the execution of this story's premise. An MMC already engaged falling in love with the wedding planner who also happens to be his ex? What a tangled web that needs to be undone, but Natasha Madison smashes this challenge. She has created this wonderful story that is about second chances and has us invested in the happy ending for both main characters.The chemistry between Sofia and Matthew was just fire. I love the subtle hints about Matthew's engagement being completely incompatible for him and his family, and I absolutely enjoyed the organic transition from that to building on Sofia and Matthew's relationship using their history, their personal growth, and most importantly their families.This book can be read as a standalone, but it is chock-full of Easter eggs and cameos from beloved characters in two of Madison's series. If you are a Natasha Madison fan like I am, you will enjoy these tiny surprises.

    I absolutely loved Mine to Take by Natasha Madison; it is an incredible second chance at love story. It is the fifth book in her Southern Wedding series. I loved Mine to Take and am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Natasha Madison showed that she is an amazing storyteller and is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors to read. It was impossible to put Mine to Take down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? My favorite part is how the title of the book and the picture on the cover is incorporated into their love story. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love how Natasha Madison always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. Mine to Take is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Natasha Madison love story, and she did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Mine to Take is the story of Sofia Barnes, wedding planner for the wedding service company, Happily Ever After and Matthew Petrov, professional hockey player for the Carolina Whalers. Sofia and Matthew were college sweethearts until one drunken night and things ended disastrously. Sofia and Matthew have not seen each other since that fateful night and to Sofia’s surprise Matthew walks into Happily Ever After with his fiancée, Helena to discuss the possibility of Sofia planning their wedding. After talking things over with his father, Matthew decides to do the only thing and breaks off his engagement to Helena, after all, Sofia is the only woman he has ever loved. As Sofia and Matthew begin to spend time together with Sofia fighting her feelings after first, things change between them. I love everything that Matthew does to get back together with Sofia. I love the characters in Mine to Take, and catching up with characters from her other series, the characters feel like family and friends. I loved catching up with the Baker sisters, it felt like a family reunion. I enjoyed all the interactions between the characters, especially their teasing that made me laugh. I loved all the characters in Mine to Take and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who does not love a family that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Mine to Take, who does not love a second chance at love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

    Wow!!! Sofia and Matthew were so perfect. I’m still in awe of their love story. This book gave me all the feels because I’ve read all of the books about both of these families. When Matt came into the wedding planner’s office with Helena, I knew she wasn’t the right woman for him. My heart went out to Sofia because she had to come face to face with Matthew and his new woman. Talk about a bad start to the workday.🤯 I wish I had a sweet tea at that moment. I felt bad for Matthew but I also felt like that was his karma. I was anxious to see how Matty would get rid of Helena cause I knew she had to go!! 🥴 I was also anxious to see how he would be Sofia back. Natasha Madison did not disappoint me. She handled these issues and calmed my nerves.

    Despite it all, Matthew had a difficult road ahead. He broke Sofia’s heart and he had to redeem himself. I felt her devastation when she explained what happened. I also felt Matthew’s. I appreciated how Matthew’s family was honest with him about his childish behavior…not that he didn’t already know that. I understood Sofia’s reluctance to take Matty back. She was afraid. I was happy when Matty laid it all out and told her how his actions affected him. They both suffered apart and deserved the happiness that their reconciliation brought them.

    This was a fabulous second chance love story done as only Natasha Madison can do it. I laughed, I got angry, sad and excited. I love how this couple will join two of my favorite book families. I expected all of the shenanigans from Matthew Sr and Casey. I expected a tad more grace from Reed but I guess daddy Reed was tapped in. Anyway, if you love the Barnes family and the Stone family, then read this book. It’s a love story and a family reunion.

    Two years ago, Sofia had her heart broken by the one man she thought she would always be with. He was her first and her forever, until he wasn’t. Now standing in front of her is the one she lost and his new fiancé, wanting her to plan their wedding. Matthew has just coasted through life, letting things happen because that was how he was. Playing hockey was his love. Yet seeing Sofia again has renewed his senses and there is nothing and no one he wants more. But these two have so many things to work through there might now be a way to get across the bridge. Hard work is nothing new to Matthew and he has his work cut out for him if he expects to win back the only girl that has made him feel more alive than being on the ice.

    This book was just everything I didn’t realize I needed. He walks away before he makes the decision to pursue Sofia, that needs to be said. Sofia is so strong. She loves her job and her love for herself is strong. Life wasn’t easy and the way things ended with Matthew broke her. Matthew made a dumb decision and it cost him the one person he always felt was going to be there. This man is determined to have the conversations that should have happened years ago, and he shows Sofia that he truly was the one she always thought he was. A great second chance story with the laughs of the ever-present Uncle Max and Uncle Matthew, I mean we get to call him Matthew senior and that alone makes me laugh. There is no laughter lacking in this story but know you will also get those what was he thinking moments as well.

    Well, let me start off by saying that I LOVE this series (Southern Weddings) with everything in me! I could not WAIT for Sofia and Matthew's HEA and I was so not disappointed! This one is an explosive collision of two of Ms. Madison's series coming together (Southern Series and This Is Series) and it BLEW ME AWAY! To catch up with the families in this one made it just that little bit more perfect! I will say, tho, that Natasha had me BAWLING my eyes out at one point (even messaging her that I HATED her at the moment over an emotional scene that just hit me in the heart BIG TIME!) Anyway, it was great to visit with them and experience the hilarious banter and unconditional love amongst them once again!

    The history between Sofia and Matthew is not a good one, to say the least. Matthew messed up, big time, when in a drunken haze, he dumped her with no reason. The resulting heart break (for both of them) had me clutching my chest and wanting to beat Matthew with a stick! Sofia quickly changed her number and resolved to move on and forget Matthew, who she thought was her "one". Little did she know that fate had a different outcome planned! As Sofia prepares for her very first clients as a wedding planner, she is shocked to discover it is non other than Matthew and his fiancé Helena (who we quickly discover is NOT who he should EVER be considering a life with!) Matthew is just as shocked, to the point that neither one of them admits to not only knowing each other, but they had a two year committed relationship! The writing was on the wall, so to speak, for the demise of his "engagement" (you'll understand the " when you read the book ;) ) Matthew very quickly realized he needed to get Sofia back and ended the farce with Helena. But the road to Sofia's heart is a rocky one and I was rooting heavily for him the whole way right to the HEA at the end!

    This AMAZING story is one that complete captivated me! It is chock full of FEELS, Ms. Madison's signature banter, sizzling chemistry that melted my kindle and once-in-a-lifetime love! Sofia and Matthew were MEANT to be and their story will stay with me for a long time to come! And after the tease at the end, I can't WAIT for Addison and Stefano!!!

    When we knew these two worlds would be colliding we knew it would be an explosion but nothing prepared me for these two. I love how Natasha put these two worlds together. Sofia is so strong and is not going to let anything get her down - just like mama Hazel. I love Matty and how like Victor he is and i loved there conversations through the book. I also loved his friendship with Chris showing through and that they are almost like brothers. I loved the premise and i couldn't put this book down so read it in one sitting - one thing you can always rely on Natasha for is a page turner. These two were meant to be together and there break up (No cheating) was shown so well as we see this from both sides. We also get some granddad Casey in this one and him and Matthew together just made me smile. I can't wait for the next book now after that ending - well done Natasha for another amazing book.
