Cold Harbor: A Romantic Suspense Novel

Once again, Ms Mondello keeps us on our toes with her latest Heroes of Providence story. This one gives us Charlotte/Charley Tate, an FBI agent working a case dealing with organized crimes, and Tyler Jaconbsen, ex-cop, her ex-lover, and the one who lost his job because of her. Six years later they meet again when she has jumped of a yacht into the cold waters . It was either that or be killed when her cover was blown. She is saved by Tyler who was out with his father on a fishing trip. Though he seems to hate her, he still admires her and he still affects her. All this in the first chapter of the book, so you know you are up for a rollercoaster ride. A story filled with suspense, the characters wondering who they can trust, and of course, romance. I love that the author not only gives us a well developed plot but also complex characters, and yes, strong women. Another winner for Ms Mondello and the Heroes of Providence.
