Wandering Hearts (The Looking Glass Saga Book 4) Kindle Edition
After an unsettling Christmas with Adrianna's family, Alice returns to school and a much more normal problem than she'd ever had to deal with before. Adrianna likes a boy and needs a date for his friend if she wants to spend more time with him. Alice agrees, but soon finds she's not ready for what that means.
The other side of the mirror and searching for Adrianna's brothers becomes an escape from the life she'd dreamed of, even as she gains a new shadow while exploring Wonderland. She gains a shadow in a boy named Peter who has taken an interest in her and the things she can do. He is definitely not from around here and learns that where Wonderland ends, another world begins.

About the author

Tanya Lisle is a novelist from the Metro Vancouver, British Columbia who has series littered across genres from supernatural horror to young adult fantasy. She began writing in elementary school, when she started turning homework assignments into short stories and continued this trend well into university. While attending Simon Fraser University, she developed an appreciation for public domain crossovers and cross-platform narratives. She has a shelf full of notebooks with more story ideas than pens lost to the depths of her bag. Now she writes incessantly in hopes of finishing all of them.
Thankfully, her cat, Remy, has figured out how to shut off Tanya’s computer when she needs to take a break.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2019Continuing from "Borrowed, not Lost", Alice visits Adrianna and her family for Christmas vacation. This is a new experience for Alice, actually staying somewhere other than at school or at home. She still has the deal with the Bandersnatch hanging over her. Something is strange about Addie's stepmom - what? Alice is still searching for Adam and Matt, but there's no trace of them. Alice meets Peter Pan when he rescues her from Tiger Lily. He complains Neverland has been spoiled, and hopes Alice can help him make it right again (or she can make it right). Alice finds a "crack" in the Wonderland universe where it's dark on the other side. Touching it affects her dramatically. She finds the Jabberwocky, but in leaving his rudeness, enters Neverland with Peter Pan and immediately passes out, to awaken in a hole. Alice goes from one misadventure to the next, including an unwanted suitor, zombie wolves, a reluctant-to-return Adam, holes in her brain, denizens of Wonderland carrying their hearts (interesting story behind who and why) and of course, the Bandersnatch. I'm enjoying the series; I loved movie versions of Alice in Wonderland. This is a whole new take on Alice, Wonderland, and now Peter Pan and Neverland. Never a dull moment!
