Knot Letting You Go: An Omegaverse Second Chance Romance (Scornedverse Book 1) Kindle Edition
They didn’t want me then, but it seems like the boys from my past don’t want anyone else to have me either.
We were always going to pack. But my teenage dreams were flipped upside down when they rejected me, leaving me bleeding and broken.
I survived and found my way. And now I’m returning home a completely different person to pack with my new alpha. First though, I have to put an end to what the boys from my past started.
Fate though has other ideas about us being finished. Chance meetings, half truths and my impending heat make for interesting times. And the advice from my girls, about who I let back into my heart and body, is as confusing as it sounds.
But what if we got everything wrong? What if our bond is like an eternal flame that will burn no matter what we face?
I guess I’m about to find out. Because when I find myself alone again, alphas that smell like cherries, falling rain, hot cinnamon donuts, and campfire, who make pretty promises about knot letting me go again might be the only ones that can save me from the mistakes of our past and the threats to our future.
There's a few readers consideration to consider before reading Knot Letting You Go including but not limited to age gap and reverse age gap, a lot of smoking hot sex and heat scenes, alphas hell bent on getting their omega, gaslighting, violence, swearing, discussions on past trauma including sexual assault. There is an existing relationship between two alpha males.

About the author

Growing up, Lucy was enamoured with the concept of fated mates. These days you just need to add a soft nest, a delicious smelling, moody alpha or three, and she's in omegaverse heaven.
Lucy's female leads are strong, intelligent, feisty bombshells who always get the happy ever after they deserve. After a bit of drama and angst, of course.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2023This was a great book to read. Really enjoyed it a lot!
Some Pros:
I love the twists and turns the story took. There so many wtf moments that really brought everything together at a the end.
I believed the omegas and some of the alphas recovery from trauma. Many authors skip o er that part or let biology fix everything and it’s just not believable for me. This author handled the trauma well.
I believed the buildup to the relationships and how each relationship was different.
The spicy scenes were great! They were not cookie cutter and overdone.
The action scenes and plot driven moments were well written as well.
Cons:
The first couple of chapters were confusing. I didn’t understand the relationship with her Mom and Dad. I thought the way the scenes were written weren’t fully explained and tied back to the plot or world building. I thought the behavior by her father was extreme and I didn’t understand the point of it. But once I got past those first two chapters the book really picked up for me.
There were a couple of places where I thought the explanations came a little too late and lessened the impact.
I think the way the final Alphas trauma was ended without real closure wasn’t great for me. I wish that had been tied up more, but maybe I’m future books?
Otherwise a solid 4.5 stars from me.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2023This is an omegaverse, but the rules are slightly different and not at all explained. I guess there is another series this author writes and maybe the rules are outlined there, but I'd suggest a slightly longer recap of them at the start. I did like the story overall, despite a glaring plot hole. The FMC is pretty strong and usually smart. She gets physically assaulted (not by any of the guys, not at all sexually either) and has a rough time due to the severity of the attack. There is an older alpha eventually, I don't think the age gap there was specified. The younger guy is only 3 years younger than her and is 17 when things heat up, then there is a 4 year fast forward so I had no problem with that. The rule changes, an omega has to bite the alpha in claim back in order to completely seal the bond, but there IS a bond of one type with just the alpha biting (which is why when things are later revealed, it doesn't completely add up for one story). Alphas also perfume and do this at will, mostly. There were several references made to being able to "spike" a heat. This is never explained! I think they do something when the heat is coming on and like, work through it fast enough? Possibly solo. But if you go too long, you're stuck in the heat. But the fact I'm still unsure of something that gets mentioned several times is annoying. There also isn't complete closure for one story line, which is true to real life but somewhat obnoxious in a book. I'm hoping it gets explained in another book. This is a standalone but will probably be the start of a related series with the other scorned girls as the main characters. There are some typos and the author is either Australian or British or something, so some things are just word or phrasing differences and not mistakes. MC is Motorcycle Club, not main character in case you're a bookworm like me but not into the MC genre. It's more of a backdrop here and not at all typical of the MC books. It was still enjoyable, the characters were great. It wasn't some misunderstanding trope.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2025I give this three and a half ⭐, the story was good, the characters interesting, good world building, but I struggled with being able to easily read this book. Raney thinks she is a beta getting ready to start a pack with three of het childhood loves. The pack would be with bestfriends Reid, Talon, Hanley, and Reid's younger brother Colt. Raney is beaten within an inch of her life and ends up leaving to go some place safe to recover and doesn't come back for four years and finally confronts her past.
I'm convinced the author is British which causes some confusion, but the poor editing leads to a read that was at times difficult to read, it could of been a higher number of stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2023I rarely write reviews, but this book touched on all my favorite tropes in a way that was not only emotional, but it was believable! Obviously, this is an omegaverse, second chance, reverse harem story, but it's also a childhood friends to lovers, rejection, age gap, MC, mafia, hockey novel!
Even though all of that adds to the flavor, the real story is about the characters. It's about overcoming trauma and the people who carry you when you can't. The women carry the wounds of their past, but they don't crumble under them. The main character revels in being soft, but will stand fierce just as passionately. The strongest alphas are written comfortable in their power, designation afforded due respect, and there is a sense of honor and protection written more innately than I've read in most books.
I don't think you can go wrong reading this if you like this style.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad read with some interesting parts
So, this is my first book by that author. Tho, I have some of her other OV books on my list.
The important part first: I rate this 3.5 stars, but since I can't give half stars, I round it up to 4.
I had some issues with the book and characters. And a lot of that didn't even make sense to me. For example, I don't really get, why the Anders were gunning for Raney? She was a young girl/woman, when she met the Anders. It was never explained. And it wasn't logical either, that Sharlene Anders nearly killed Raney in the house of her mother? She did trespass and self-defense wasn't even logical, since she didn't have any injury. Even with help from corrupt police officers and all, I would not think that you can explain it away without anything to cover that scenario. But ok.
Same with Reid, it didn't make sense, that he would change so extreme. I get it, he had that illness. But not from the start. It came after Raney was gone. Another thing, that didn't make any sense, was him holding on to the pack so long.
It comes back down, that them holding on to that situation with Raney so long in general made no sense. I would think some politician and his wife had more important things to do, and just want to gloss over the whole thing.
But that wasn't the case. It seems it was only used to give Raney a reason to meet up with the guys again.
Furthermore, I didn't like Raney that much. I mean, she was not necessarily a bad FMC. She had some traits, I did like. For example, that she was confident and did go for the things she wanted. But she was often abrasive and acted careless sometimes. It's said she is smart, so I would think she would know better. Typically, she acted more like a teenager. Her behavior made more sense with that attitude in part I.
It was in general not much explained what happened between Part I and II. Sure, some things were mentioned. That she had to do rehab, physical therapy and therapy in general, that she never heard from the guys and then met Koz. I wish the author had shown a memory or flashback of them meeting, but ok.
I did like the guys. Some more than others. I loved Koz and Puck/Colt. Hayes was good too. Talon was the only one I couldn't really get into. He was not bad, but we don't see as much of him as we see the others.
The plot was partly interesting, but it was too fast-paced and not fleshed out enough for me. As I said, we get thrown into situations, like them being arrested, and then they are gone, and it isn't shown what happened to them in detail anymore. She then goes into heat and after that a lot is resolved fast after that. And then there are so many smutty times in nearly each chapter. That was too much, too.
Not to forget, the villain endings were really anticlimactic. They made such a huge speech on how they have to suffer and all. But it was just fast, without much of questioning to their motives and all.
The epilogues were redundant either. Some moments were mentioned, but again not fleshed out. Like the second arrest. But the first epilogue was about the smutty moment more. And then the short conclusion to the Anders empire. In the end, we get to see Hayes and Raney talk about the woman and the child, and they conclude to just move on and stop looking for answers. I don't know why that was needed. But ok.
So, it did take me a bit longer than my usual reading speed to get through this. But it was not completely bad, and at least I did finish it.
I maybe will read the next one, but I'm not sure yet. We'll see.

Thoroughly enjoyable, it kept me on the edge wondering what would happen next, through twists, turns and revelations. I loved Raney and all of her hot and very yummy alphas, they all had wonderfully different personalities. Koz was definitely my favourite being a growly døminant, øbsëssive and pøssëssive alpha with Puck being a close second being, pretty much, a very younger version of Koz, without so much growl 😍. Hayes was the sweet cinnamon roll alpha with Talon being somewhere in between them all. Together they are just so very yummy. 😋
The pace is great and definitely keeps you invested, the only really annoying thing is we didn’t get anything of vëngëance on page against Sharlene, you see her very briefly when the Phoenix Group find her and that’s it, they didn’t even talk to her!! Ok she’s bløwn up but that was it!! Very, very disappointing, Reid could also have had more súffering returned, it wasn’t enough in my personal view with what that wretched family did to everyone. But hayhoo, that’s only my vëngëful & viølënt opinion 🤣
The whole book was brilliant, however the end could have been done a little better, but still a very enjoyable read.
Raney, Talon, Hayes, and brothers Reid & Colt (later Puck) are all extremely close and want to pack together. However Reid & Colts mother (Sharlene Anders) can’t stand her. When one day Colt & Raney have a pässíonate encounter he claims her, that is when Sharlene, charges in and brūtälly ättǎcks Raney nearly kíllìng her. That is the time when all their lives fall apart completely, ripping them apart. The only two who stay together are Hayes & Talon, who become rømantically involved.
Raney takes a long time to recover from her injuries, not only physically but mëntälly. During this time she meets Kozantine (‘Koz’), a very dømínant ärms dëalíng alpha, who helps her heal mëntǎlly and become rømäntically together being her scent matched alpha. Unfortunately they can’t pack because not only does a shadow of her past linger, the pack claim from Reid hold them in a více. Until she can dissolve his pack claim, she and Koz can’t move on, this førces Raney to cønfront her past.
Four years on from the attack, Hayes is now a tattoo artist & Talon is a police detective. Hayes has a shadow hanging over him which has held him cǎptíve for years, all at the bläckmäíling hands of Sharlene & Reid. For a very gentle man this revelation devastated him, especially with his hope for a future with Raney. Talon has seen how the Anders family have dëstrøyed the people he loves, so for over three years he is working hard to gather evídence and bring them down, once and for all.
Poor Colt, now Puck, has súffered so much over the years, not only living with what his mother did to Raney but also with loosing his love and facing up to how vílë his whole family are as people. Luckily Kings (Raneys MC president Dad) takes him in to the whole mc family, days after the ättäck. They not only support him mëntally they help train him up and keep him safe and hidden from his family.
Once they all meet back up they go through a roller coaster ride of disasters, heats, revelations, past hurts and end in a wonderfully loving found family.
I‘m looking forward to reading further books on the Scorned Omegas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting story
Knot letting you go is one intense story that had me and my emotions everywhere!!
The characters were charming and anti heros. Loved all the mystery and intrigue.
I can't wait to see what happens next!

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't stop reading
I usually don't like second chance romances but I am on my omegaverse era and the reviews were so good that I've decided to give it a try. It was an incredible story, full of heartwarming moments and character development and I was glued to the book until the very last page.

3.0 out of 5 stars great new omega universe.
This new series is really good if a little long. There were definitely some parts that were a little stretched as far as conversations and inner monologues and towards the end it got a little dragged out. I know authors want to get all their feels in the book but I definitely did skim a few of the pages because it got a little repetitive. Puck was by far my favourite alpha of this book and probably of the other omegaverse series Lucy wrote.
All in, it is a good start to a new series and I will definitely continue to read more of the scorned girls books!
