I don't know ........ Honestly what is going on in this set?? series?? of different authors supposedly collaborating with each other ........... according to what I was reading ... the book BINDING ROSE was Book 1 ..... then this book says it is 3 but yet is actually the second book in the series . SO far they seem to be a Bit all too a-like ......just different names ...... Cause the scenes are pretty much the same .......Instant attraction to people who should be your enemy. Compliant and docile women who are willing to renounce their independence for the treaty their Fathers and Brothers created to keep Mafia Peace???. Men who are purportedly the most dangerous mobsters until a pretty girl enters their life and they somehow all become better humans. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the stories so far ....The authors are doing a good job bringing the words to life and getting you invested but its not enough to stop the reader from spoting the retelling of more or less same story.......... and they all take on the Brothers as Lovers ?? Oh well I at least made it thru 2 of the books ..........

This book ripped my heart out a few times and put it right back slightly bruised.I want to start off with a trigger warning on this. This book does contain experiences in sexual assault, abuse/torture, and self-harm. So if you have those triggers, this isn't the book for you.I loved how the author set up the setting and world so epically. I felt like I was there right from the start. I could feel every heartbeat and trepidation felt throughout the story. I seriously couldn't put it down. This is a RH(Reverse Harem) but that's all I'll say about that dynamic. I don't like spoiling what I think are important plot points.Characters:Dahlia: She might not seem like a fighter because of her upbringing, but SHE IS. She is a strong character who you root for and feel for and you just want to be there with her every step of the way in this story. She grew so much and blossomed into the best character in the end.Raphael: Geeze he is a grenade just waiting to explode throughout the book. You do not know whats going to happen or what he is going to do,which will put you on edge at every turn.Carlo: In the words of David Rose of Schitts Creek, "Hmm..Eat Glass!" Pretty good description right there.Leo: Can't expect someone to love you, if they can't love themselves.Lucien: A mystery wrapped in a suit. Swoon worthy but will probably stab you before kissing you and you'd enjoy every second of it.Gabriel: The sheltered one. Or so you think. Does wear his heart on his sleeve though. Could probably sell ice to an Eskimo with his smooth talk.Final Thoughts: GO READ THIS NOW. IT'S AN AMAZING MAFIA ROMANCE. You have the drama, the guns, the sneaky sneak, the steam, the romance, the violence. Need I seriously say more? It's sooo good. I highly recommend this. I really hope there will be more books in this world because I would love to see how the other families delt with the "the treaty".
