He seems to constantly forget what he did in previous books a lot which ends up with a large amount of continuity errors. He killed Phillipe de Beusse in book 3 and then near the end of book 4 killed him a second time. He knights Toby near the end of book 4 and returns him to being a squire in book 5. He spends all of book 2 or 3 calling Nat Tyler by Wat Tyler before changing it back. It seems to me if you're going to write a long series like this in the future you may want to consider an editor or keeping notes.

Stop using antique terminology that the majority of readers will not know
without research. By the 3rd book you'll be sick of that and the convoluted
plot. The are so many one and done characters it's ridiculous. Not to
mention the excruciating repetition through out the series. One book was
plenty for this story. Don't be foolish like me and waste your money. Stop
after the first book and make up your own ending. I'm sure it will be
better than this one.

Such a brilliant story and brilliant story telling. Unlike some of the previous books in this series that had some slow spots at times, this one is never ending action and drama, which the final book of a fantasy series should be. I am so sad that this series is over. It may be the one series I ever choose to read twice.

Miles Cameron is a full-time writer who lives in Canada with his family. He also writes historical fiction under another name. The Traitor Son Cycle series is his fantasy debut.
