Mages, Witches, and a Vine.
5⭐️ 3🌶️This is a MMF Monster romance novella and it was oh so good. Cassia is a witch who left her coven and is now dealing with the consequences. Lincoln and Brad are her new halfblood mage neighbors who left their community as well after the loss of their adoptive Mother. Let’s just say they get tangled up in eachother and a lot of heat and tension ensues. I really enjoyed this book!

This story is a continuation of the series and the prophecy. I loved that Olivia could help our MCh Cassie. Olivia was her friend but did not reveal her secret. The story is about a lone witch and two plant mages trying to make it in the world against all odds.

I loved the twists and how some of the secrets were found out. Very intriguing.

And of course the chemistry between Brad and Cassie was excellent. The banter between her and Lincoln was entertaining. And then there's Irene. She was determined to get her "boys" and Cassie together , even if she did have to resort to unbecoming ways.

Then we have the ex. I loved the way Irene helped in making him decide he wanted to tell the truth . Of course Brad and Lincoln were there to help. They are plant mages after all. More secrets revealed.

All is well at the end of the story. It did feel like a HFN more than a HEA. Especially between Cassie and Lincoln. Their first encounter sets the stage for their relationship. Again loved the banter. But there is promise between the two once Cassie is ready.

The flow was good. I loved trying to figure what would happen next. Can't wait for the next story.

This is the second book in the Seasonal Spice series. I recommend you read the first book, 50 Shades of Orc, prior to reading Tangle with the Mages. This book is supposed to be a kind of continuation, in the first book, there is a prophecy surrounding a witch, but it is incredibly unclear. I did not feel any more clarity during this book either. For some reason, I thought the witch would end up with Tom's brother because that is how it felt from book 1. I know book 3 follows along where book 2 left off, but, even though I haven't read book 3 yet, I feel like they could have just been released as one book instead of 2.

Overall though, I did like the book. I liked that it took some creative liberties. I like that Irene was a sentient plant and that she melded with Cassia. I thought that offered a unique take. This book is not very spicy, I would say maybe a 3.5 out of 5. There are definitely some scenes in here, and the book is not very long, but I felt they could have been spicier like the first book.

Overall, its a fun, quick read! I look forward to working my way through the rest of the series.

Cassia, Lincoln and Brad are a unique set of individuals. Lincoln and Brad are Vine Mages while Cassia is a witch. The boys moved in next door to Cassia. She did not know what they were and she did not know her best friend is an Orc. But as her ex-boyfriend decides to burn her house down, Cassia needs friends she can count on.

Knowing this is book 2, I did not read book 1.

I had trouble figuring out who was talking or what exactly was happening after the 50% mark. It also isn’t an MMF in this novella, but MF and voyeurism by the second M.

This wasn’t my cup of tea, even though the description pulled me in.

A loosely connected follow up to 50 Shades of Orc, this story works well as a standalone so far. I loved this one and the premise. A sentient plant, a love potion, and a suddenly you've got a magical triad.

This book had a great way of adding intrigue and suspense without making it feel over the top and silly.

I really loved the fact that Cassia is working her way through her feelings for Lincoln whilst allowing herself to explore her relationship with Brad. The guys have no issues sharing but they do have some complex feelings and it's not something many RH/poly romances deal with. As a poly individual this is really nice to see.

    Sweet and Spicy!

⭐️ ⭐️ on the spice level. Got me feeling things late at night, but it did leave me wanting more. I was hoping for more rope (or in this case, vines) play and maybe a MMF versus voyeur. There were some obvious spelling and grammar errors, but nothing that took away from the story too much.

Truth be told, I was hoping for more. There is such potential for at least 200+ pages. I digress, looking forward to the 3rd book to read!

A very sexy read. Love the quirky inventiveness of Monteiro. She's a very clever, fresh author. Particularly loved Irene the vine. So clever. Be ready for something completely different - the author's stories are coming out in interesting bites.

4.0 out of 5 stars I’m desperate to keep reading…

In the same story line as 50 Shades of Orc
MMCs are half mages looking for answers about their mom.
FMC is looking to keep herself safe from a community that is threatening her.

I was hesitant that this book had a different focus from the first but as it goes it becomes clear how they're interconnected and it's really good.

I'm loving them and keep pushing other books to the side so I can keep at these. I've already started the third.

    Kinda taboo
The warning section of the book said this was an MMF i’ts more MF with some spectating M
I would also hesitate to call these books erotica. Erotic, for sure, but there is a good story, it's just unfurling over the course of 5 novellas.
