This is the prequel to H.M. Shander’s series The Cheshire Bay Series, told in first person POV from Mia’s perspective and will give you all the emotions. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone in no certain order.

I loved Mia’s enthusiasm and love for her town. I love that she stood up for what she believed in, even if the price to pay was her heart. I loved Zachary’s attempts at flirting and his determination to get to know Mia. I love that when he started to spend time Cheshire Bay, he altered the outcome of the reason he was there in the first place. My heart broke with that epilogue though. I definitely did not see that coming at all.

I would have liked to see Zachary’s POV on the events happening in this story, but it didn’t make me lose interest in the story at all.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has to tell. I’m excited to see the residents of Cheshire Bay fall into love and what obstacles they have to face to get there.

Zachary comes to Cheshire Bay to buy real estate, and Mia sells him a big old place that has been vacant. They fall fast for each other, but he leaves, and she finds out he plans to sell the place for development. Betrayed, she intends to stop him and is prepared to take him down at the town meeting when he returns. But in a surprise change, he stays, and they get together. But tragedy strikes, and tears fall. He is not going to be around for the long run. And we barely hear from them in the other Cheshire Bay books, partly because this one was written as if it happened earlier but was published in 2023.
The writing is heartfelt, and the love story is lovely. Some romances contain tragedy no matter how hard we try.

It is always nice to head back to Cheshire Bay and although I enjoyed this story, the narrative at the beginning was a bit slow. The story picked up in the middle and proved to be a wonderful and interesting read at the end.

I have absolutely loved every story taking place in this wonderful little town of Cheshire Bay. So much so, I think that I would like to live there. The people all know one another, love their town, and have each other’s backs. The town is very laid back and has magnificent ocean views. What’s not to love? And realtor, Mia MacDonald loves her town. When businessman, Zachary, comes to town, Mia is the realtor to close the deal on the huge, ocean front property that he’s purchasing. She never expected him to be a charming, handsome man who would sweep her off her feet in one day. That is until she finds out what his true agenda is all about…..

I really loved reading, Dreamers in Cheshire Bay by H.M. Shander because it was a sweet story about Mia and Zachary. They had a connection when they first met, but Zachary seemed to be hiding something from Mia. I loved Mia's character and her love for her town. It was a short story, but it was chock full of romance and a wee bit of drama. I have loved reading this series and have loved all the characters. I would highly recommend reading this story and this series. What a great story!!!.

I found this in a Facebook group where there was a guest author. H. M. Shander posted all her book series and I was impressed. I downloaded the first book, which was free.

The plot consisted of an American real estate agent selling a house to a guy she falls for, but he is not what he seems. The chemistry between the protagonists sizzled with just the right amount of hot romance without it being too graphic. The writing lured me in to become the Mia and I enjoyed being with Zachary who was very charismatic.

Overall, Dreamers in Cheshire Bay is a great start to a series that I will definitely be reading. I particularly liked that the books are all under 200 pages. Each one is a romance between people who have connections to Cheshire Bay. I’m pretty sure they are standalone, but I prefer to read in the order they were written. Plus, I also liked that I didn’t predict the ending. I highly recommend this book.
