About this ebook

Football is our life, but love is what will save us.

An unrequited love finally gets a chance . . . and a broken soul finds a way to heal. But can forgiveness lead to forever?

Gia

Since the day my ex-boyfriend took his own life, I’ve been sleep-walking through the days and just barely surviving the nights. I didn’t think I was capable of anything more . . . until Tate Durham, the newest Philadelphia football hottie, found me sitting on the floor of a grocery store, crying over a bag of potato chips.

Tate’s patient friendship shows me that I might not be beyond hope. But what if I don’t have the courage to trust him with my heart?

Tate

I have been in love with Gia Capri since the moment I laid eyes on her back in college. Unfortunately, that happened to be the same night she met Matt Lampert. Even though that dude was my teammate, I knew he was bad news. Still, when it came to Gia, I didn’t stand a chance.

But now he’s gone, and an unexpected meeting with Gia means I get a chance to prove myself. For a time, it feels like my care and honesty begin to heal what’s broken in Gia’s soul. Still, no matter how hard I try—or how much I love her—making her whole again might take more than I can give.

But love never gives up. And neither will I.

Couldn't finish it, Gia was not a redeemable character for me. I just felt that Tate was too good for her. Everyone has a dark past and everyone makes mistakes but Gia did alot of things which cannot be excused no matter how angry she was and no matter how much of a piece of scum he was. I felt like Gia would end up ruining Tate as well and I found myself rooting for the demise of their relationship for the good of both of them but I knew likelihood of that was slim and just made it harder to finish the book to the end. I felt so uncomfortable reading this book and wouldn't suggest it to anyone who struggles with physical abuse or substance abuse. I understand it's part of Gia's past but it's way too graphic for me to digest. I feel like Gia is still too broken to be engaging in any sort of romantic relationship even though Tate is a night in shining armour. Gia's actions are irrational through out the book which makes me feel she should focus on herself first.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. OMG this book shattered my heart, I have read one other book in this series about Leo Tate and Quinn, and they are mentioned in this book, BUT this story centers around Tate Durham and Gia Capri. What Gia had gone through with Matt was absolutely the most heart shattering thing, I do not want to give anything away but Tate took my heart grabbed it and didnt let go, He is the most perfect person to help heal Gia. Tawdra did such a beautiful job on this story, and Tate OMG with his childhood and knowing the things he did about Gia to have a heart like he does will make you MELT. The patience and the LOVE he has for this girl is the most beautifully written thing I have read in a while. To find a man like him is every womans fantasy. I HIGHLY recommend this book

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Wow!!! First, I’ve never read anything by this author but I will going forward. This book was well written, thought out, fleshed out, and perfectly paced. I’m beyond in love with Tate but’s Gia has gripped me completely. This book had me ugly crying but in a beautiful healing way. I didn’t realize this was part of a series going into reading but I did question several times while reading. This was more because I could tell there was more to the phenomenal secondary characters than I saw but never felt this story needed that to be complete. Forewarning there are some hard and deep topics in this book. The author masterfully tackled these through the characters without trying to explain or take on more than needed. This is beyond difficult to balance and it was completed with perfection. I will be reading the other books and can’t wait for 2018 for the next release. I’m not only recommending this read I’m screaming it loudly.
