I sighed and rubbed the bridge of my nose, but not because Perry was bad at his magic. A certified journeyman, he excelled at mobility and light spells. Easily a quarter of the nobles and wealthier merchants in town rode in carriages propelled by his handiwork, and lit their gardens, salons and galleries with his artfully arranged enchantments.
