      INSIDE THIS LITTLE book, you’ll find the Legend of Last Chance Beach, a fictional island paradise I created last summer as the setting for Last Chance Beach: Summer's End, a bestselling short story collection written by my friends and me. I described the fictional location as: the Island Paradise where Dreams go to Live again.

      Fans loved the concept of this island and loved seeing it as the location in the fourteen stories. I liked it so much I began thinking about writing a book or books set on the island. It was total serendipity when my pal Nancy Fraser emailed me and asked about using Last Chance Beach as a setting. (Great minds think alike, right?) She and I talked at length, worked together to create guidelines for full-length romance novels
