Alpha Ascendant: A Fantastical Werewolf Adventure (Wolf Rampant Book 3) Kindle Edition
Ember is a bloodling, a werewolf born in lupine rather than in human form. The wolf pup is the perfect blend of rainbows and chaos, bound to bring a smile to everyone's face. But Terra soon begins to wonder whether it's truly in Ember's best interests to raise her adopted daughter as a wolf.
As a bloodling himself, her mate Wolfie adamantly opposes the idea of forcing a shift on their charge before her time. But when Wolfie is called away and Ember's sadistic biological father demands his daughter's return, Terra is faced with a difficult decision.
By werewolf law, a shifter has come of age and can make her own choices after her first transformation. But while forcing Ember's shift prematurely would allow Terra to keep the pup out of the hands of her biological father, the act might drive Wolfie out of both of their lives forever.
Alpha Ascendant is the engrossing finale of the Wolf Rampant trilogy that begins with Shiftless and continues with Pack Princess.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2019This engaging tale is a fitting finale to the Wolf Rampant series in that it allows so many issues to be satisfyingly resolved as we see Terra further develop into a more confident pack leader and we witness the further evolution of her relationship with Wolfie. Loyalties are tested, danger is never out of the picture, and family ties are explored. This most unusual pack of werewolves, halfies, and bloodlings have much to weather and that makes for a fast-paced and gripping story.
While this is the third and final book of this series, do not despair, the amazing characters and their wonderful world are not forever gone. Thankfully, the author has chosen to continue their stories in other spinoff series allowing us, as readers, to revisit them at our leisure.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that fans of this series will only augment their enjoyment of Ms. Easterling’s creativity should they choose to listen to the audiobook version of these stories. The narrator, Kelly McCall Fumo, gives an excellent performance and adroitly channels each character’s personality, emotions, and underlying motivations thereby allowing her to give each character a unique and fitting voice. Whether reading and/or listening, this is urban fantasy at its finest.
While I did purchase a copy of this book, the author provided me with a free audiobook copy and I am voluntarily offering this honest and unbiased review.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2016This was the third book in a series and I have to say that I was quite impressed. I'm on a roll here.... I'm usually not very nice in my reviews but I've actually read quite a few good books lately so I'm happy to be posting positive reviews.
I loved the writing style - the main characters really come alive. I think the books would have been really long if the author made all of the characters that way... but I can understand the kind of effort it takes to do that. I didn't want to go into any of her other book series because I find that these kind of series usually have the same basic story plot with different characters. I'd love to be proven wrong, but from what I've read in the blurb, I have a feeling that I may be correct.
A couple of my favorite characters in the first book kind of took a back seat in the later books and I was a bit sad about it - but this trilogy was not about them. I know that the author may want to hold off on those characters for another day, but why put so much effort into making them 3-dimensional characters at the beginning to just turn into two dimensional cardboard cut outs later on?
If you don't mind sticking with the main characters, then this is a really cute book. They are pretty quick reads as well. This book was just under 200 pages and a good afternoon type of read. I would say that this would be a good book to take on vacation to read while waiting at the airport or something like that. Entertaining without having to worry too much about keeping track of too many characters. :-)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2019Alpha Ascendant is the third book in the Wolf Rampant trilogy. Terra and Wolfie have united their packs at Haven and are raising their adopted bloodling daughter Ember. Ember, despite being a bloodling, has won the hearts of every member of the pack. Dale has been studying the werewolves and their transitions and has developed a formula that will force a shifter to change and an antidote that will force a change back. Terra and Wolfie have their first true disagreement regarding whether to use the formula on Ember so that she may grow up as a human instead of as a wolf. Other than that, things seem to be going well until Chase gets an email from a long lost love asking for help. Wolfie and Chase leave to help, leaving Terra in charge of the new pack. Soon after they leave, Terra receives an official notice saying that Justin wants his daughter back and they are forced to bring Ember to a Tribunal where they must either force her to shift so she may speak her preference or give her over to her biological father. Terra agonizes over her options, and Wolfie is unreachable, but eventually she settles on a path that should lead their desired outcome.
I enjoyed the book, Terra shows some growth as an alpha, which is something I've wanted since the first book. I liked how things worked out for Terra and Wolfie. I liked the addition of Terra's brother Ethan to the mix and the interplay between him and Ember. If you're reading the series, you'll want to read this one to see how Wolfie and Terra's story wraps up.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2015I just finished reading Alpha Ascendant, the final novel in the Wolf Rampant trilogy and I loved it. I am not going to give away the plot because I know that you will want to enjoy the book without knowing what happens ahead of time. What I am going to talk about is the development of the characters, especially Terra. This trilogy has been about her growth and I really like how the three books together trace that in a very real fashion. She did not grant Terra immediate maturity, instead the first book showed how her background had stopped her growth on many levels. The second book showed her floundering to find her feet and making many mistakes but learning from them and this final book shows her finally beginning to accept herself and who she is and who her mate is. There were times on this journey that I doubted that she would make it to this level, but that is very reminiscent of real life.
I am pleased that there is going to be another story from this world. It is an interesting to watch these shifters grow and change and cope with the dual nature that they have. Amiee Easterling is an author who is living up to her early promise to turn into an author that you will seek out book after book after book. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review. I also purchased this book because she is an author that I want to support and her book is worthy of purchase.
So go ahead and buy, you won’t be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book 3 Wolf Rampant
Great story which had me crying like a baby at time and although the lack and it's alpha.s went through he'll and back more times than I could count they all stuck together so in the end even through they and some losses they pulled through.,

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing ending to this series
This is the final installment for Terra's story and the girl has surpassed many of her issues in this book. Her confidence finally grows and becomes what it should have always been we see and end to a villian who I would gladly have torn his throat out if I was a wolf.
We get a hint of where a spin off story or series of books may come into action also. This book completed Terra's story really well. It ends with a HEA in it's own way some may disagree but that's just life.
Well done on an amazing book.
Would I recommend this book/ series YES

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous sseries
After having read Shiftles I was completely hooked on this series and somehow have managed to read the whole series in less than 3 days.
I am now looking forward to reading the other books in this 'realm' as they look great.
I've had to put them on my wish List for now though with it being Christmas.
