Globalization was unraveling, governments were failing, the world was lurching towards wars and famines.

Some thought that space resources could mitigate the damage. But chemical rockets couldn't bring those resources to Earth in economical quantities.

A new rocket motor was needed and Jack might have the answer, if he didn't die trying.

Rocket Season is a novel in the author's Manifold Earth Universe: Rocket Series. It is a "fixup" of the stories Rocket Summer, Rocket Fall, Rocket Winter, and Rocket Spring. Beginning in the near future and extending into the far future, the Manifold Earth Universe extrapolates future humanity's struggles, failures, and successes in moving out into the vast cosmos.
