The more she gets involved with the family living in the Victorian mansion down the street, the more suspicious she becomes that there is something very strange going on there.

short, reminiscences, mystery Sitting on her porch, Miss Doreen relates the story of the folks up the street. Seems that the mamma ran off leaving a badly grieving husband and two teenaged daughters at loose ends. The book is too short for a further summary or spoilers, so just give yourself a break and enjoy the read.
