Holly Dickens is a paranormal investigator, a cat shifter and a witch. She is trying to resurrect her career as her ex tanked their show when he broke up with her on a live stream. She gets permission from the family to film at the Hale house where a couple was killed and their murder never solved. On the day of the shoot the one member of the family who didn’t know barges in and would’ve chased her off if there wasn’t a surprise snowstorm. Thinking her career and hopes of telling her mother’s story and unsolved murder is over she’s shocked when Konnor Hale calls her to meet for coffee and agrees to a shoot. While the two start at cross purposes their shared history of pain draws them to each other and an understanding.
What an unusual start to a love story on the hunt to solve two very personal cold cases. I loved the interactions between Holly and Konnor. They had such great chemistry and such a perfect example of opposites attract. A quirky, offbeat set of characters lighten the serious nature of the underlining plot and make for a fascinating and enjoyable story!.
