- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2019The author brings jumps right into the romance as a lady tries her best to be a lady and a gentleman tries his best to court her. The two do not see eye to eye the lady wants to live, feel the thrills life brings, she so much wants to learn to fence, he so much wants to keep her safe. It is a fight against will one demanding marriage the other just wants to be left alone. The lady finds the gentleman to bossy and just what does he mean she can’t do this or that. Well she will show him, it isn’t like they have any attachments, and what does he mean he is marrying her, he must have lost his mind. The gentleman finds the lady to be to bold, seeking danger but man can she swing a sword.
I thought the narrator did a wonderful job on his character voices, as well as giving true emotion to them. It was very easy to know who was talking and what they were feeling. There are no repeating of words, no volume changes, and no breaks were taken that I could tell. It was a story I enjoyed and had trouble putting down. He made me believe what was happening as he took me on a journey of humor, anger and the thrill of romance. It was a very clear audio that I plan on listening to again.
The author really takes you back in time giving a thrilling listen with wonderful character that does battle as they find they can’t live without each other. It is well written and thought out. I truly enjoyed this story, I loved the humor and found myself laughing, chuckling along with a few hold your breath moments.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2020A story of a strange type of love. As neighbors the h and H did not grow up together. When they were a little older, they were barely acquaintances. The h did not feel she was a great beauty and had garnered little attention at balls. She accepted that she was a wall flower and on her way to spinsterhood. Then she discovered fencing and for the first time became alive. She loved learning and she was good at it. Her parents ignored her for the most part and she was on her own while in London while they lived in the country. She had several good friends she relied on. The H had come into his title after his father died while he was on his grand tour. His father's dying wish was for the H to marry the h. But at that time, he felt nothing for her and thought her the last person he would marry. For six years he lived with his grief of losing his father by living a debauched life style. One evening he was on his way to being totally foxed he decided to go to a ball, change his life for the better and find a wife. At the ball he recognized the h but did not remember her name. He admired the changes in her since the last time he saw her and knew in a heartbeat that she was the one for him. Now the h did not trust easily and thought he must be joking. The H had a lot to prove and he was determined to win her. Now the h had a secret life and the H found out. He was shocked that she took no precautions for her safety or reputation. This irritated the h. But the H used this to blackmail her into courting him for two weeks. Will the h make it easy for him to win her? Would the H take her freedom to pursue her interests away? Would the h ever be able to trust? An interesting story. ⭐⭐⭐1/2

- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2020Find Me Love by Dawn Brower is a historical romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Price Waldman. This is the second book in the Scandal meets Love Series that can be read as a stand-alone.
I absolutely love Dawn’s books! They are a slow burning romance that just leaves you with a smile by the end. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series If It’s Love.
Price did a great job on the narration. I loved his accent it was perfect for Luther. I look forward to listening to more of his projects in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves historical romance or slow burn romances.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2018The plot is good - a clean romance I would have to say. I am a historical romance fan, and this is my first time reading from the author. I have to say that I felt as if there are some lapses within the story or its just that the story is too fast paced that it sometimes jumps from time to time without so much ado as to what happened in between. As if there are some missing parts in the story. I'm a bit confused with some details in the story. How I wish the characters had more depth - especially the H and h romance. Maybe since this is not a full novel, that's why its a bit lacking. Maybe, its just me and I'm expecting a bit too much - but I think that I have to have more in this story.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2018I enjoyed this historical romance! I liked Diana and Luther. This story is a little unique but I really liked that fact it was. It's a sweet quick read that is definitely worth reading! I loved how it concluded.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.*
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2018This is sweet, romantic and interesting. Luther is determined, bold, unassuming and protective. Diana is independent, bold, stubborn and strong. Diana has been in love with Luther for years, but knew that she was too plain to catch his eye. Luther had always thought of Diana as a pesky child, until he saw her at a ball one night. Luther decided then and there that he was going to marry her, he just needed to convince her. She had plans of her own, ones she knew Luther would not approve of, but he unfortunately found out about, and blackmailed her into courtship with. They both have strong personalities, but love is stronger.
