Wrath (Hell Night Book 4) Kindle Edition
Death. Destruction. Pain. A soulless void. It’s his life. It’s his reality.
Emo doesn’t feel. Anything. His soul is dark and filled with hatred. People in the small town of Malus watch him with fear, with reverence. Exactly the way he prefers it.
Guilt surrounds him, caging him in an ominous past he refuses to let go. Can’t let go. His past is responsible for the shell of the man who now exists. He doesn’t know any other way to survive.]
The woman who haunts his dreams is his only salvation. He’s hurt her over and over again. He didn’t have a choice.
The key he holds on to, the one he uses to carve into his flesh, is the key to his hell. It’s his reminder of the pain he’s suffered and inflicted.
Will there be retribution? Can Emo be saved? Or is he destined to live in this dark hell he’s surrounded himself in for the rest of his life?

- Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2024This final installment in the series surpassed all my expectations! The story has a captivating depth, exploring themes of darkness that are both haunting and profoundly beautiful. By the end, the emotional journey felt raw and poignant, leaving a lasting impact that resonated with me long after I turned the last page. The story's blend of pain and beauty made it a truly unforgettable experience.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2019Some books I read to escape from reality for a while and others like Key To Hell sweep me away, tug and pull at my emotions, break my heart only to slowly piece it back together again and I loved every enthralling moment.
From the beginning of this series Emo has been the enigmatic brother that piqued my curiosity and made me want to delve further into his story. Dark, disturbed and broken from a horrific childhood that left its mark on him I realized quickly Emo's story would never be an easy one.
After the ending of the previous book I anticipated a wild ride and boy did Key to Hell deliver! I squealed so loud when I realized what I had been hoping for all along was about to play out with their story. I loved watching both Emo and Rella grow throughout this book as they found the strength they needed in each other.
I thought I was prepared for the emotional rollercoaster these two would take me on but I was quickly proven wrong. My emotions were constantly careening all over the place. I lost my breath, felt a bit sick to my stomach, shed quite a few tears and by the end these two had stolen my heart completely. Key to Hell was the perfect conclusion to this heartgripping and gutwrenching series that held me as a willing captive from beginning to end. If you love hauntingly beautiful reads that don't pull a punch and will have your emotions twisted every which way then this book and the rest in the series are definite mustreads!

Emo is just one more child that had to deal with Hell Night. If you haven’t read the series then stop, turn around and go to the beginning. So that you to truly understand what these children had to endure, you have to start with book one. One thing is for sure; all these stories will touch your heart. Emo’s story was the toughest one for me and in part that’s due to how he feels about himself and how he goes about dealing with his pain. He literally wears his pain, which adds the aspect of realism to his story.
In order to really get to know him, you need to make sure that you’ve read Bitter Sweet Hell. J.W. will give you his perception of Emo and that will help you understand him here. Someone from their childhood is Rella. Rella shows that sometimes it can be very hard to go back home. She also shows how hard it can be to stop the nightmares when you’ve lived them for so long. Between Rella’s and Emo’s story, this could be why I felt that this was the hardest to read.
You have to figure that if this was that hard to read it must have been even harder to write. That could also be why this is the last book in the series. If you personally have had some childhood trauma, this may be a trigger for you. I liked the fact that they were all like the phoenix and able to rise out of the ashes. They were able to rise above a horrendous event and use that fire to help others. Some things may feel very dark but light can be found at the end of that tunnel. They are the ones that need to find some sort of happiness the most.
If you’ve made it to the end you’ll want to make sure to read the note from the author. It’s one that gives you a little bit about the writing of this series. She also gave me confirmation that for the first time I actually got something right. It also means that I’m going to have to follow her closely so that I don’t miss a thing.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2019First, this author is know for her wonderfully written dark romances, and this is definitely one of those. And a perfect end to a series that had my heart in my throat through it all.
This entire series has discussed the lives of the small group of adults that were once children of Sweet Haven, a small town that harbored some sadistic secrets.
In the previous books it was always eluded to the fact that Emo didn’t just suffer at the monthly Hell Nights, but suffered daily at the hands of a horrible father.
Emo is now a man who really is barely hanging by a thread. For decades he’s lived with the guilt of what he was forced to do to Rella and later her apparent suicide.
Rella is found in the gazebo that day and taken from one Hell only to be taken to another.
Years later, in Malus, the two are brought together in an odd twist of fate. Her reappearance was like, wtf!!
Much to Emo’s confusion Rella never holds him at fault for the things that happened.
This book, in a way, shows that sometimes even through mutual horrible experiences you find the other half of your soul. And they were that for each other, even when Emo couldn’t see it. My favorite quote in this book was where Rella tells Emo ‘you were always my hero, even when you couldn’t be’ I cried like a baby. Best line ever. This book shows that love does have the power to heal the broken.
This book, though it covers very sensitive subject matter, is a book that should not be missed. Exceptional! Never missed a book by this author and all her books are definitely preorders, blurbs unread. Happy reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars wow, Never read such a story Spectaclurar and Dark
This 4th book is spectacular. The darkness and the revence from Rella and Emo. I almost have no words for this. If you read the 3 books prior to this one ( that is a must) otherwise you missed so much , you already know horrible things are happening. This is so emotional and written with passion I loved this series so much and i wanted Emo to get his HEA. go read. Thank you Alex for this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Devastatingly Beautiful Stars.
This book....no not just this book the entire Hell Night series is Phenomenal.
It's incredibly raw and at times painful to read. The Author doesn't hold back when it comes to the brutality needed to make the abusive situations realistic.
I applaud and admire her for that, it can't of been easy.
I seriously have no words for how much I loved Emo and Rellas heartbreakingly beautiful story. It was captivating, haunting and unforgettable. It has to be my favourite from the series.
They completely slayed me wide open in a way that I felt physically numb and emotionally drained. I expected that going into this book but it still hurt regardless.
Emo is one of the most tormented broken characters I've ever met. Throughout the series he has always been an enigma. That bloody Key was always a pivotal part of his story, now we know why.
Emo captured my attention and my heart from the beginning and he has definitely left his mark.
Rella is just as broken as Emo she has her own demons to deal with. As we get all of her back story in more detail it's easy to understand why. Rella has a beautiful soul, one that was almost destroyed by her past. I thought she was incredibly brave and a lot stronger than she gave herself credit for.
Together they have literally gone through Hell. Both emotionally, physically and mentally damaged they are each others salvation. They absorb each others pain slowly seeking comfort for their tortured souls.
Their story is EVERYTHING. 💖
Emo is the Key and Rella is his Lock. They fit perfectly together. 🔑 & 🔓
I can't wait for what comes next from Alex Grayson it's going to be amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic addition to this amazing series! 5 plus stars
Wow wow wow!!! Oh, I have been waiting for Emo's story since the first book in this series. I absolutely adore the other guys JW, Judge and Trouble but Emo has always been my favourite, even though we have just got to his story.
What a journey this was and the title of this book couldn't be more perfect. Emo has tortured himself for years about the things he was made to do on Hell Night, although he was protecting Rella (Trouble's sister) from a lot worse than what she endured, his guilt has stayed with him. My heart ached a little more for Emo than the others as he is such a deep and an intense character, who you can't help but want happiness and love for him, but unfortunately he doesn't think he deserves to be happy, so won't allow anyone to get too close.
I really do love this series, but this has to be my favourite, I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. If you like a darker read and don't have triggers then I totally recommend this, you will not be disappointed. I wasn't and its now in my top five favourite series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book this year!
My mind is blown ...I’m struggling to get my thoughts together. This book will stay with me for a very long time...
This series was amazing! I’ve loved every single book! All good things must come to an end though and what a BLOODY ENDING!
It was a dark, twisted, emotional ride. That left me holding on to my kindle in a death grip. Crying and sometimes not believing what I was reading. It was definitely not for the faint hearted... IT WAS SO GOOD! My favourite book so far this year. If I could give more stars I would. I’m not giving anything away. You must read this and experience for yourself. I do recommend reading series in order though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark, gripping and perfect!
I've sat for an hour trying to piece words together to write a review that would do this book justice. Nothing I say will ever be enough!
Key to Hell is the final book in the Hell Nights series and the author has absolutely saved the best until last.
I always knew Emo's book would be a tough read. It was dark, it was raw and it was heartbreaking.
By the end of the book, I was a bundle of emotions yet crying with happiness that these men, and especially Rella, got the closure and peace they deserve.
Absolutely amazing book, and a perfect ending to this series.
