Repeat Business

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Katy and Pierce and does not let go. At one time, they loved each other but circumstances beyond their control tore them apart. Will Pierce be able to finally convince Katy that they belong together? This is book 2 in the Pelican Bay series and we get to see what crazy Katy is up to next. She has made a life out of being a pain in Pierce’s side because of something that happened between their families a long time ago. Pierce is a millionaire who means well but everything he does Katy fights him tooth and nail. He and Katy meet in grade school and it was such sweet and cute way they met but once Katy’s grandmother caught wind of their friendship things changed. The push and pull between these two is hilarious but the chemistry between them is super-hot. Loved this book and the journey of crazy Katy and sweet Pierce. Pierce is going to give a relationship with Katy just one more chance. He has tried so many times over the years to show her he loves her but due to her grandmothers hatred for his grandfather after he dumped her, Katy is not receptive. Added to their battle of wills, there is a murder to solve and plenty of hijinks. Loved the storyline but wanted to bop Katy over the head more than a few times. Twists and surprises, along with plenty of drama and romance keep the pages turning. The mystery was entertaining and well done. Great ending.
