What a good story. Seth is Mr. Grumpy Pants (as dubbed by Daphne) and doesn’t want or care for a relationship. He doesn’t trust Callie, but with her what you see is what you get. They’ve both been through a lot, but it’s made them who they are. When Seth opened up to Callie about his past, and then he told Ghost/Alex, it made my heart hurt for him. I adored Callie’s sister Nikki as well. She’s a good teenager, and I’d love to see her as an adult getting her own story.

If you enjoy romantic suspense novels then this latest in the Ghost Ops series will keep you entertained. I frequently learn a little bit about something unrelated to the main plot when reading anything by Lynn Raye Harris which is part of what I enjoy about her writing. To me it's kind of like scenery, it creates a sense of authenticity. In this novel the details about the reality of owning and caring for horses, particularly older horses helps to show who the characters are. The details make sense as a part of the story, and do not distract you from the plot.
