About this ebook

This book is dedicated to the Indian tribes of North America, peoples who bravely resisted the settlers and fought to protect their way of life, sacred traditions and deep connection with nature. In the face of the relentless advance of the European settlers, the native tribes such as the Sioux,Cheyenne,Comanche and Apache defended their territories and culture with remarkable tenacity.Their struggles, often unequal, were not only for land or resources, but also for the survival of a harmonious way of life based on respect for nature and the balance between man and the environment. These noble people had a complex belief system,in which nature was considered an equal partner of man,and animals and plants were treated with gratitude and respect.Hunting was a sacred act,and the use of natural resources was made sustainably,so that future generations benefit from the same gifts of the Earth. The book aims to pay tribute to this spirit of resistance and revive the memory of a civilization that had much to offer the world, but which was often wronged and misunderstood. It is a story about courage, loss, but also about hope,in an attempt to keep the memory of these tribes alive and to learn from their eternal wisdom related to the land and nature.

    Prologue:

In a time long forgotten, before the world was divided between nations and borders, the earth was ruled by the forces of nature, and people lived in harmony with them.Wind, water, earth and fire were considered sacred spirits, guides of life, but also feared entities. In those days,in the vast territory of what would become known as America, lived seven tribes, each spread over a vast territory, each with their own traditions and sacred stories. Each tribe had a powerful leader,a a chief who had risen through courage and wisdom, respected and followed by the people. But the greatest of the tribes was led by a woman.Nita, also called the White Eagle, was known not only for her daring and skill in war,but also for her ability to negotiate with nature spirits. She wore her husbands with pride, and her people had revered her as a symbol of strength and fertility.Nita believed that the balance between humans and nature was fragile and that in order to survive, the tribes it must remain in harmony with the world around it.However,in recent years, the winds had begun to change. At first,it was a subtle thing:the gentle breeze that brought the coolness of summer evenings became more and more erratic. Then, unexpected storms they were sweeping the plains, destroying crops and causing fear among the people. The people of the tribes knew that something was happening with the wind spirits, and the elders spoke of times before balance, when the world was ruled by chaos.Nita, along with the other tribal chiefs, sensed the danger which was approaching. The balance between the tribes had begun to fall apart.Territorial conflicts, rivalries and misunderstandings caused quarrels between the tribes, and all of these seemed to draw the wrath of the winds even more.In such a moment of crisis,Shaya was born,in the heart of his tribe.Ever since childhood,Shaya had been different. She spent her days running free on the plains, listening to the breezes and watching the clouds change shape in the sky.She felt a close connection to the world around her,and the winds seemed to whisper secrets to her that no one else could understand. The elders of the tribe they told of an old legend,of the Guardians of the Winds-people chosen by the spirits of nature to protect the balance between humans and the surrounding elements. The Guardians were able to communicate with the winds, improve them, and bring them back into balance. But that legend was one of long ago,and no one believed that such a Guardian could appear again. However, the signs were clear. The winds were becoming more turbulent, and the tribes were drifting away from each other. In the midst of this turmoil, the elders of the tribe began to believe that Shaya was the one predestined to restore the lost balance. In adulthood, when the signs of nature had become impossible to ignore,Shaya was called by the leaders of her tribe. Before a solemn council, she was entrusted with a mission that no other human he had received for many generations:to go in search of the Temple of the Winds, the sacred place where the spirits of the wind originated. Only there, in the heart of the mountain, could balance be restored.Armed only with courage and a sacred stone received from the elders of the tribe,Shaya set out on the journey of her life. She didn't know what dangers awaited her,but she felt deep in her heart that her mission was tied to the fate of all tribes. And so,Shaya's journey began a journey that would change the course of history and restore balance between humans and the forces of nature.
