Panther Hunted (The Bull Creek Chronicles Book 2) Kindle Edition
A panther shifter who needs to escape, an entitled rich boy who feels denied, and the fight that only one of them can win.
Lainie Everest was quite content living her life as a deputy in Draven Falls—that is, until her father tried to force her into a marriage with the lecherous rich boy Miles Hemingway.
Twenty-seven-year-old Lainie Everest wants nothing to do with the family business or her father’s family politics, and when he tells her he’s made a deal with Lars Hemingway to marry her off to his son, well, things truly get heated. Eager to start a new chapter in her life, she leaves Draven Falls, her father's unscrupulous plans, and the man she refused to marry behind. But Bull Creek wasn’t far enough away from Draven Falls.
A promise was made to Miles Hemingway, a deal brokered by Daniel Everest for his daughter's hand. Lainie, however, believes she can simply run away from Miles, breaking that promise. Escape is not that easy, though. He will have what was promised, even if Lainie has to become a PANTHER HUNTED.

About the author

Author of the popular series, Destined Mates, Robbie Cox started writing to escape—escape his teachers, escape his fears, even to escape his insecurities and doubts. However, his stories of seduction and adventure, not only allowed him to hide in the lives of his characters, but also captivated those who wanted to escape with him. Now, he enjoys a full-time career as a storyteller and novelist, creating rich worlds of fantasy adventure, paranormal action, and steamy romance. He invites readers to run away with him- to escape, getting lost in the seduction of adventure.
When not writing, Robbie is often found on his back porch enjoying a cigar, a scotch, and a good story. He derives pleasure from his large family and his crazy group of friends who provide the inspiration for his blog, The Mess that Is Me.
His series include, The Warrior of the Way, The Witches of Savannah, The Bull Creek Chronicles, The Rutherford Series, The Harper Twins, and the popular Fangirls series.
Short Bio - Robbie Cox is the author of Contemporary Romance, Steamy Romance, Paranormal, and Urban Fantasy stories where the adventure leaps from the pages, seducing you to keep turning the pages.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2019Holy cow! I absolutely LOVED this story. I was glued to it. Lainie is a kick a$$, strong willed, and determined woman. She controls herself and refuses to allow her father to dictate who she will marry. Miles is an a$$. There, I said it. He wants what he cannot have. He wants Lainie and will not take her not no but hell no. She was promised to him by her father and he intends to collect.
This is the second book in the series and CAN be read as a standalone BUT is so much better when read as part of the series as there are events in the first book that are brought up in this one.
Bring on the next book! I am ready for more!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2019I tell you what, some men just can't take no for an answer. Then we have the strong women to prove to them that are their own woman to do as she please. Add some family drama to the mix and you have an exciting story.
From the beginning of the story you find yourself shaking your head at the characters and wanting to slap a few of them too. I know this story had me going wow as I was reading it. After reading the Destined Mayes books you can be in shock at the things that happen in between the books.
Until Next Time... Tabi
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2019I love revisiting Bull Creek and its residents. This telling of the beginning of Dimitri and Josh and Lainie being there was awesome. There us sadness in the way Demetri became the Alpha, but heat and spice in the coming together of Alanna and Josh, and the resolution of Josh and Lainies forever friends relationship. Thia book has all that you could want I it. I look forward to what's coming g next. Great Job Robbie Cox.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2019The back stories to these characters are so intense and exciting.. Lainie is such a kick ass character and to see why and how she decided to move to Bull Creek gives such great insight to her character.. And there was a sexy tryst that I did not see coming. I Look forward to seeing what comes next...
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2019Panther Hunted is a scary, sweet and sexy tale of a young woman going out on her own while being chased by a stalker. Thank goodness for friends and big brothers. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to new stories from Bull Creek.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2019PANTHER HUNTED is a sequel to ALPHA RISING and it could be difficult t read the story without the knowledge of the first book, although the author is trying to cover all necessary information. It would definitely enrich your reading enjoyment to know the background of the characters involved, as the beginning of this story lies in the first book of the series.
In short: Leini tries to avoid an arranged marriage with someone she really does not like, helped by her brother and his best friend. The man she is supposed to marry goes after her when she moves to a new town....
A good read, thrilling and action packed.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2019Like all of this author's other books about Bull Creek, this book is a good look into how the supernatural community runs a town. Or in this case hopes to run a town. Instead of following her eldest brother's footsteps in falling in line, Lainie Everest decides to move to Bull Creek to live with her other brother. However, Daniel, her father has other plans for her, including marrying the greasy, gross son of a potential business partner. Gross, seriously gross. One thing the author did really well in this story was really make him icky, like I had to take a shower after reading about him icky.
Lainie discovers that Bull Creek isn't that bad, in fact there are some good things that could come from it. Maybe even the rekindling of an old romance if she plays her cards right. However fate has other things in store for Lainie, and for a time she essentially is at the whim of what fate wants from her. However, being a panther, and being a strong willed woman and panther, Lainie doesn't let her father, or fate make decisions for her.
This story has some steam in it, but not as much as the other stories in my opinion. It is okay because I feel like this book really helps to not only introduce you more to some of the main characters that live in Bull Creek but also to really explore the Everest family dynamics and how Lainie is and is not part of them.
I really enjoy the author's writing style and feel drawn into the story, for better or worse at times. For instance see above about the icky character. Overall this is a good book and I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2019I enjoyed reading about Laine but ended up confused as to where this one ended. Josh met his mate, Alanna, and they went to make sure Laine made it to Bull Creek safely. Along the way, they explored a threesome but by the end, Laine knew it wasn't permanent but she had yet to meet her mate. So really, this story was more about Josh and Alanna than Laine unless I missed something. 🤔
This is the second book in the Bull Creek Chronicles and really needs to be read in the order it is written.
