I think I did find myself skimming the last few chapters only because the "final battle" happens around 75% of book and the rest is mostly spice (not that I mind) but it did get a little monotonous. But this series overall was a great read it grabbed my attention right away and held it through all 3 books.

    Loved the first part of this book up until the last few chapters it went from 100 to negative 30 fast. It’s like the author just needed to end the series and didn’t know how to fit everything in so it was random rushed information and then a lot of pieces were left out. All in all I would still recommend but ending was disappointing

    This conclusion of the series had everything you'd expect. Plenty of spice with each of the mates getting time with Shayla to claim her and the group scenes were also hot. The unexpected twist of Landis and Hollis together was also hot.
    They solve the problem of the fading or draining of magic at the school and realms. The surprise was who all was involved and what each of our favorite characters had to do in order to end the problem.
    Throughout all of this Shayla and her mates all grow closer and especially Rourke finally comes to his senses and admits his mistake in rejecting her mate bond.
    I loved the dynamics of Shayla and each of her mates. Arden is still my favorite of all her men, he's the Teddy bear of the group, then Branden and Rourke, Hollis, and Landis all are completely lost to Shayla. The complete dynamics of this harem are completely outstanding MM MM MF Totaly love the setup.
    Some of the revelations about Shayla and her magic make sense also when we find out who her father is and the mystery of the sparkles comes to light.

    I enjoyed this story and series but was disappointed in the ending not in the how it ended but that the ending of the story is glossed over. I expected more of a story windup but it felt almost like author didn’t know how to end the story and decided to throw in numerous sex scenes. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t begrudge those scenes but I skimmed over them as I was trying to get to how she was going to wind up the adventure. I felt disappointed in that she basically wound it up in a couple of paragraphs but sex scenes went on page after page after page. In the end it felt like she sacrificed the story for sex which is too bad because it was a really good story with characters who had amazing depths and struggles and I really wish the focus had been on that. Overall I do recommend the series as a whole just be prepared for a quick wrap ending.
