ready to become fabulous
Foreword
Recently I was scrolling through TikTok and came across the hilarious standup comedian, Jackie Fabulous, talking about Sex in your 50s
.
Her expressions set the tone on what people expect sexuality is after 50.
These are her words: 'Here's what sex is like now at 51, for me to even consider being horny, all the elements got to be perfect. All the stars got to align'
'And don't suggest that we have sex when it is about to rain, we are both 51, we have one good knee between us. You know, we can't f* when it is about to rain'
I must admit that she is very entertaining and witty but I'm somehow surprised to hear these words from a woman who just hit 50. And to make matters even worse, many women who are still in their early forties, openly agree with her.
Are we aging prematurely? Is good sex a privilege for women aged 35 or less? Are we doomed to spend more than half of our lives as unsexual beings, written off by male society?
The correct answer is NO, not at all!
There is absolutely no need to have a reduced sex drive or to feel less attractive after 45. To many men you are now more attractive than ever... especially to the younger male population.
Don't believe the stories society is spreading. These myths are usually launched by frustrated men. Men have always blamed women for all their problems and mistakes. They cheat because their wife is not attractive anymore, they do not perform in bed because their partner is not doing enough effort, etc... In literature the words sexy and aging are never used together when talking about women. In the best case we will be described as 'aging gracefully' while old men are often described as 'forever boys'.
It is time to take a good look inside ourselves and stop believing what our macho society is preaching. It is absolutely true that a hormone imbalance (especially during menopause) can cause a reduced libido. But in many cases, the main cause of a low sex drive has nothing to do with physical problems, but far more with mental ones. If we tackle these mental insecurities, both your sexual life and general wellbeing will greatly benefit.
Moreover, it is absolute nonsense to think that the aging of men has no impact on their sex life. Many men resort to Viagra or other stimulants to improve performance but these products are no miracle solution and do not bring back the sexual capacities of a young man. So no, men do not stay boys...
This book describes my journey of self-discovery while dating online. I underwent a major transformation resulting in enhanced self-confidence, a lighter approach to life and a strong conviction that society's prejudices about mature women are totally wrong. I bundled my realizations in 6 major life hacks which will also help you to make from your life an incredible journey; you will feel better about yourself, radiate an irresistible feminine energy and find an inner peace most women only dream of.
I got married at age 29. Like most young women, I was heavily investing in a successful career but felt that a husband would make my life complete. It didn't take long before the kids were born. From the outside we seemed like the perfect happy couple. Both our careers were soaring, we had a beautiful house, gorgeous kids, 2 sportscars and a couple of horses.
At a certain point in our marriage, we took over a business together and became a power couple in business, featuring on the cover of different magazines.
After 15 years of marriage, we started to grow apart and our core values which formed the foundation of our marriage started to differ. While my husband was still mainly focused on money and power, my main interests started to shift more and more towards personal growth. I did lots of research and studied books from authors like Dr. Joe Dispenza, Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer and David Hawkins to name just a few. Although I understood their teachings and saw the value in them, I failed to implement them successfully in my life without making some major changes.
At 43, we divorced. Due to the divorce, followed by the Covid lockdown, I found myself all of a sudden out of a job. I bought a horse farm and lived together with my animals, in nature. I needed this me-time, being together with my kids and animals but without a husband or boyfriend. Without any masculine interference I fully recovered and found my personal balance again. Slowly I started to discover a completely different world where I found my femininity back. For more than 15 years I had been someone's wife
. The image of good spouse & mom
seemed incompatible with the idea of being a sensual and sexual woman. The fact that my husband often called me cold and lethargic in bed while he pretended to be mister hot guy didn't help of course. Little did I knew - at that time - that a major transformation was waiting for me. Neither did my ex-husband, and now he will never know!
The past year, my personal transformation took a big leap. Until then, I had been working quite a bit on myself but I missed an ingredient to spice up my life, something to shake my ground. I found this catalyst in the (online) dating scene. After venturing onto Tinder and Bumble, I experienced some major changes and everything just fell into place. It wasn't so much the dating itself, but more the internal changes set in motion.
I found back my self-esteem, my worth and my sensuality. I discovered a world where all the macho prejudices I had heard for years were totally debunked. I slowly transformed from an insecure and shy woman who thought that her best years lay behind her into a young and vital person who is enjoying life at its fullest.
After experiencing this transformation, I felt an urge to write this book. I am convinced that my exciting journey will help you to make a similar transformation. After reading, you will also be convinced that women don't 'age gracefully', instead we become irresistible.
My experiences are not only intended for single women ready to hit the dating market. They are for every woman who is sometimes struggling with getting older and needs a firm boost of positivity to enjoy the most beautiful era of life. You can become the adventurous soul you were always meant to be. Be brave darling, there is still so much life to be lived and adventures to be unlocked. Just put on your boots and start
