      I had mixed feelings about this book.

      Callie grew on me but initially didn't set herself up well. She's a character that's redeeming herself and thanks to her past actions she's hurt people along the way. She's learning to become a better person and that's really only due to the result of her losing her parents in a car accident. She's definitely a tough nut to crack and has some cranky personality traits but it's understandable within reason.

      Hayden has been burned before by the one he loved and now she's stumbled her way back into his life at his college. He couldn't think of anything worse and he makes sure she knows that. Hayden is really hard on Callie to start with but I loved how his teammates made him aware of his actions and that they wouldn't be tolerated. It was great seeing men stand up for women. Hayden's personality though didn't start changing much until half way through the book. It was as if Anna was trying to make their characters role-play each other from their younger years.

      Their story was enjoyable and as both characters have reactive temperaments it was expected that there would be a few dramatic scenes. There was a lot of rehashing between Hayden and Callie about the past and what Callie had done and who she was. It didn't need to be mentioned as much as it was, it started to become a tad drawn out.
