About this audiobook
All my life I’ve been keeping score and living by the rules:
- Play it safe
- Stay out of trouble
- Hide who you really are
To win, I go unnoticed and it’s working.
Until my predictable, virginal life comes under attack.
Worst of all, I’m the threat.
An escape to the cottage is the answer.
Only, I’m not alone.
Matthew Carruthers is here.
Pro football player.
A six-foot-three slice of fun-loving sexy.
He’s everything I’ve never dared want and yet, I’m drawn to him.
Both faced with a major life decision, we vow to help one another.
Instead of sticking to the rules, I’m breaking them.
And being bad never felt so good.
But this dream world can’t last.
We have responsibilities, and honoring them means we can’t be together.
Yet I’m unsure how to go back to my rules or if I even want to.
Not when Matt could be the biggest win of all.

After getting a glimpse of the instant chemistry between Matt & Claire, I was itching for their story.
Claire is the sweet little sister who is driven to be a great doctor & determined to never be the one that anyone has to worry about. She works hard, but sometimes, maybe a little too hard…like to the point of breaking.
Matt is the star quarterback who has lost his love of the game. His best friend turned out to be someone he didn’t want to know & his dad lives vicariously through him. These two events have become things that make him want to reevaluate his morals & dreams.
When these two end up at Poppy & Drew’s cabin, they make the best out of an awkward situation. Drew’s close friend & assistant, Brittany make it even more awkward. But even with her presence, there’s something in the way that Matt & Claire communicate & work together that makes their fluidity almost like a work of art. Their conversations are direct & honest, which is something that both are in desperate need of. Shortly put…they just click.
Miscommunication is the killer of any good romantic storyline, but the way these two were able to ultimately work it out & put everyone in place was a little worth the hassle. They both came out stronger & happier in the end.
I’m or stopping now, I need more of this series!!
