He needs someone to work with his son, she needs a job. They need to keep their hands to themselves.

Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other's backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Mark's story ...

Single Dad of Seattle Dr. Mark Herron can't believe anyone would celebrate their divorce. The dissolution of his marriage left him and his son with a huge hole to fill in their home--and their hearts. So when he overhears a lovely stranger and her friends celebrating the end of her marriage, he's mystified--and then intrigued--by her determination to put the past behind her. But when he learns that Tori Jones needs a job, he knows this can't be a coincidence.

Tori might be telling the world nothing's got her down, but the truth is she's hit rock bottom. Her husband didn't just cheat on her, he took all her money, including her college fund, which means her marriage is over, and so is her dream to go to grad school and help children with special needs. So when a handsome stranger offers her a job caring for his special needs son, she knows she can't turn it down--

Even if what she's feeling for Mark is far from professional. Now Mark's finding it hard to keep his hands to himself and Tori's struggling to keep her thoughts from straying to dangerous territory. Will they be able to keep their distance from each other or will being hired by the sexy single dad be Tori's biggest problem of all?

**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn’t end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it’s not quite wine o’clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A single dad romance with an age gap. Not my normal read, but oh how I have fallen...
A single dad romance with an age gap. Not my normal read, but oh how I have fallen down the rabbit hole known as Whitley Cox’s Single Dads of Seattle Series. This is the first book of a ten-book series, and I am happy there is more to this single dad world. There is banter with the guys that is undeniably amusing and a smoldering heat to every steamy scene. And with the character’s themselves having amazing chemistry, it is easy to forget the age gap between them. I guess love really isn’t measured by age.The characters in this book meet by chance, when Mark overhears a group of girls celebrating a recently divorced friend. Something he could relate to. And when he steps over to the table, he finds an instant attraction to the newly single Tori and can’t believe that her husband would be such a douche to a woman like her. Then he does something crazy after learning of her profession. He offers her a job in which she would be taking care of his friend’s son who is on the autism spectrum. She calls the supposed friend (actually Mark) and instantly falls for Gabe, his son. She’s hired on the spot. But, with an employee/boss relationship between them, it gets messy when they decide to act on the attraction between them.I enjoyed this book a lot with the easily relatable characters and an easy-to-follow story. I also really love the bromance banter with the single dads. You can tell they are a chosen family, friends that understand the struggles and heartaches of one another. And I love that each one stands out on their own even with such small cameos and knowing there is a book about them later in the series. The dynamic between our two main love interests was seamless and welcoming. They had a flow to them was on point, finding myself forgetting they weren’t technically together. It was remarkable how Whitley Cox gave them such chemistry to make me forget that they hadn’t even done anything physically romantic yet. My only complaint was Mark a little later in the book when an incident happened. I did understand where he was coming from, but I was also disappointed at the quick forgiveness factor of Tori. But, regardless of that small fact, I liked the book overall and made me want to read the others in the series.Whitley Cox lives up to her brand when she says her romances are Funny and Fabulously Filthy. I think she plays right on the line where sweet meets smolder. And I am here for it. Who doesn’t want to have a love that’s sweetly dirty? I know I do! That’s why I give this book 4.5 phases and I plan on reading more of this series.

Such a good story. This one touch my heart a little more than most because I, like Mark, have a son with autism. I felt his pain when his son had a meltdown. It breaks your heart knowing that they are only breaking down due to frustration, and their own inability to get their points acrosw to others. My son would have the worst meltdowns because he would try to communicate something to me and couldn't. The language barrier was the hardest part. I'm especially touched by how both characters were so well versed in how to handle and help Gabe. Their love story was just the icing on the cake of the book. I thouroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

Well done to the author! I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I'm especially interested in seeing Liam, Scott and maybe even Zak, find their loves. I also want to read Atlas' story. His short snippet in this one truly broke my heart and he didn't have a huge part in this book.

Again, well done tot he author! Excellent writing.

HIRED BY THE SINGLE DAD is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are sexy scenes so if that is an issue for you, better pass. You will miss a great read. The story is set in Seattle and is about a group of men that are all single dads. Most are divorced, some widowed, but all single and hosted by a divorce attorney. Liam set up the group to give the men a place where they could talk, get help and advice and bond with other dads and their children.

This story is about Mark. Mark has an autistic son. His wife was unable to handle having a child that was autistic. She left them. His son is his life. He is a doctor so he has the advantage of medical help and instruction. He is devoted to his son and his whole life revolves around giving him the best care and help possible. When he discovers Tori their lives change for the better. Gabe instantly takes to her, something he does not normally do. She has a bachelor's degree in working with autistic children. She is also a natural and loving Gabe helps her be able to do her job.

Tori is 28, separated and divorcing. She married a loser but thought it was going to be forever. She agreed to give up her dreams, work to send him to college, and then when he started to practice deninstry, he would send her to grad school. This story is as old as time. I can't count the number of times this happens. As soon as he graduated he let her know he had a girl friend and he wanted a divorce. This guy was loser with a capital L. So, she is out of a job, he took all the money in the bank account and to beat all, he wants her rings back. This guy is a worm.

But things are looking up when Tori goes to work for the handsome doctor 10 years her senior. However, the road is not an easy one. This is a great story. Lots to learn about autistic children that comes out in her handling of Gabe and the way his father deals with his issues. Also learn a bit about the road single fathers, good ones, have to go down and what their lives are like. It is really a good story and I definitely recommend it. This is a great start to a new series for this author. I really enjoyed it.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 3/14/2021.

Great love story with twists and turns, mistakes, forgiveness and true love. Dad with an autistic son meets the women who ends up being the love of his life in a strange way, but it works out in the end

A bit slow for my tastes and caused me to skim but overall it was an ok story. I must say my favorite character was Gabe the son. I have an Autistic son so I can relate to that part of the story.

A good story, bringing to light an issue a lot of people have to deal with. This book was well written, I did not always agree with some of the actions but isn’t that what fiction is all about.

I’m not sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is enough for this story. It is my first read for this author but guaranteed it won’t be my last. Hired By The Single Dad is not your normal boss, staff love story, it’s gritty, and confronting but so beautifully laid out.

Mark is the father of a non verbal autistic child, Gabe is just gorgeous and as a mum to a child in the spectrum, I found it so well told. Both mark and Gabe have been through the wringing, after his wife walks away unable to deal with Gabe’s behaviour and quirks. But a night out, a beautiful woman and a offer she can’t refuse, mark finds himself in a better place.

Tori has had her heart broken after her husband slept around behind her back, divorced her, and took everything. She’s at rock bottom but an offer to work a dream job, she takes that chance... The chemistry is electric, but Gabe is her first priority, help get the little man one on one working towards a better Gabe. But as lines blur, Tori becomes more than his therapist.

One mistake, one minute and an ex hellbent on destroying her sees a catastrophe happen right in front of mark. Gone is the sexy man she’s got to know, now a horrible man with a tough lashing, destroys tori. Left again with nothing Tori is back in that horrible place, until the Single Dad club, pull mark into place, realising what he’s lost... can he win her back?
