    I really enjoyed Dani and Ren's story. Second chances and friends to lovers are two of my favorite tropes. Lies and not communicating really did a number on their lives, but Ren fought for their second chance. The story had some suspense I wasn't expected, but it made the plot more interesting.     This was a sweet second chance romance read.

    Daniella (Dani) Brosen and Rendell (Ren) Sousa were childhood friends and each of them wanting the other, but to scared to admit it out loud. Fate jumps in and Dani leaves without a word, breaking both of their hearts. Fast forward ten years and fate jumps in again and tosses them back together.

    I liked watching the reunion between Dani and Ren slowly take place. They each had their walls up and needed time to slowly tear them down. A little bit of drama and a small twist to keep you invested in their story.

    Overall a nice read.

    I've read a lot of books written by Dawn Brower; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

    This is the first book in the Heart’s Intent Series; Dani & Ren were best friends growing up; she was an orphan and didn’t trust anyone except him but when she just up and took off he was heart broken.
