This is one of my favorite books in the series. Amy and Ambrose's relationship has moved on a bit, it was nice to see the couple progress. The mystery in this one wasn't as action packed as others in the series, but it was great quick read. I did love the plot of this thought. Another great read, that left me wanting more. The relationship between Amy and Ambrose is only getting deeper and their work together as crime-fighting for the Paranormal Police Department (PPD) sees them inseparable. Amy's sister Topaz pops up to add humor and a little foreboding as she takes on a very interesting job. The appearance of characters from the Vampire Detective Series, Lucy and Watson (aka Watt), and the return of lovable characters from the Amethyst Wand Shop series made this an easy entertaining snd hilarious book to read. Ambrose and Amy are on a new case. A shifter is killed and a suspect brought in but they can’t get enough for a conviction and have to let him go. Two more bodies are found with the same MO. The Vampire Court is brought in and you meet Lucy from the Vampire Detective books, she comes in as the liaison. Between the Vampire Court and PPD they catch the killer. Amy is also being called in front of the witch’s council. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
