Reckless Desires by Victoria Ellis is a rockstar romance  that released a few days ago and, omg you guys, you NEED to read this one. I devoured it in a few hours and I'm still trying to put my feelings into words.When it comes to rockstar romances, they are just not my cup of tea. But Reckless Desires, HELL YES. This book is unlike any rockstar romance I've read before.The CHEMISTRY you guys. Trust me when I say Victoria knows how to write it. From the jump these two had a connection and my absolute favorite thing about this story, they fought for each other and didn't let the ghosts of past deter them from even trying. They knew it wasn't going to be easy but they also understood what they had is a once in a life time kind of love and went for it. This is something you don't see often in stories that was truly a breath of fresh air.The low stakes drama. The willingness to be mature and figure it out together without the mammoth amount of drama forcing them away from each other.That isn't to say they each weren't fighting their own demons.I also really liked that the story was placed in the Midwest. The whole music scene was reminiscent of my hometown.The balance between real life and rockstar life was spot on.The pacing of the story as a whole.There is just so much to love about this story and I absolutely cannot wait to see what Victoria does with the rest of the story. 💛

Omg this book blew me away. I love the way she writes because it grabs you from the first sentence and you don’t want to put it down until the last. A love story about two people on opposite ends of the spectrum and the relationship that they form makes you hold your breathe waiting to see the outcome. It’s a up and down relationship with lots of obstacles which makes you route for them the way through. I already ordered book 2 and I’m anxiously waiting for it to come out next year.

I really did like this book. I think the only thing that made me give not give a 5th star is the fact the ending fell a little flat for me. Don’t get me wrong I was happy how it ended up it felt a little rushed and it was like will they/won’t they and made me nervous when it showed there was only a few pages left. The story centers around Bordeaux who is one part of the band Reckless Desires. He comes home to help his grandmother with her record store and hires the fiesty Isla who definitely gives him a run for his money. One day when her ex-fiance shows up and he decides to help her out and say they are dating. I mean what guy isn’t going to be jealous that his ex moved on to a hot rock star? I mean this fake dating seems like a cliché but trust me it is not because you definitely stay on your toes as things happen throughout the book. Overall I really did like that story I just wished the ending was a tad bit different. I still highly reccommend though and cannot wait to start Declan’s story next.

I love rockstar romances and this one is fabulous. It's a bit different - yes, some of the formula stuff is here, without it there wouldn't be a rockstar story. But there's a whole lot more. Bordeaux and Isla are a very unlikely couple and it takes them each going through their now personal hell, but they do come together so perfectly it makes your heart sing. I'm looking forward to what's next in this series.

This is the first book I've read from this author and the story was okay. There were things I liked and disliked about this book. I enjoyed Bordeaux and his band mates a lot but when it came to the female lead character Isla, I didn't enjoy her character at first. Bordeaux was sweet, charming and funny and he made the story enjoyable. Isla was always so defensive and rude at times and even after understanding why she acted the way she did, that didn't excuse her attitude towards Bordeaux. There were times where I kept wondering why Bordeaux tried so hard but there was a part of the book where I wanted to throat punch both of them for using words to hurt each other. I started to enjoy the book more once Isla let her guard down some and the ending to their story was sweet. It felt a bit rushed and I wished there was a bit more to it, but it was sweet none the less. However, the preview of the next book with Declan, Lucas and Kade definitely left me wanting to read the next book to see if the whole book is as good as the first few chapters.

This was my first book by Victoria Ellis but it will not be my last. I was pulled in from the first couple chapters in an anthology and couldn't wait to read the rest! Bordeaux and Isla are both great characters with messy pasts so they definitely worked for each other. The dynamics of the band also set this up to be a wonderful series so I'm excited to read the next book!

I have never been the biggest fan of rockstar romances, but there was something that drew me to this series and I am not disappointed. This one hooked me from the start and didn’t let me go until it was over.

This book begins in a band meeting with some of the music label suits and things start to spiral. The band, Bordeaux, Miller, Declan, and Flynn, isn't happy with the way the label treats them and their music, and they don't want to go on the tour that is being set up for them. Bordeaux was paling on spending time with this grandmother and helping her out at her record shop. Which he inevitable does do, but it's only for a short time before they are forced to go on the tour. While working at the record shop, he interviews a new employee, Isla Robles. She is trying to get over a past relationship when she gets a wedding invitation in the mail. Her ex is getting married less than a year after he broker her heart. Bordeaux decides to help her out and be her fake date to the wedding, and things just snowball from there.

It was interesting for the book to start out swinging demonstrating the problems the band (Reckless Desires) was having with their label. So I was curious about that storyline from the jump. Then, adding in Bordeaux’s past and Isla’s former relationship, I was living for all of the drama.

I was expecting a little bit more to happen with the issue of Isla’s ex. I think that so much more could have happened on-the-page, but most of if seemed to develop off-page.

I loved that Isla wasn’t just going to wither and submit at the problems brewing. I love an FMC with a backbone and actually stands up for what she deserves. Additionally, making the MMC work for it is always preferred.

I want Flynn’s story so bad, but knowing that the next one is Declan's, after that little tidbit of a teaser, I am excited for ALL the drama.

Reckless Desires is a band made up of best friends Bordeaux, Declan, Flynn and Miller.
This book is the first in the series and follows Bordeaux the lead singer and guitarist.
Whilst helping his Grandma with her record shop, he meets Isla and is instantly attracted to her. But she doesn't give in to his charm like all the women he normally meets.
Isla is still dealing with finding her ex-fiance in their bed with another woman and Bordeaux doesn't think he is capable of giving love or receiving it.

I totally fell for Bordeaux 😍 he's gorgeous with a husky voice and can play the guitar!
Isla is a strong woman dealing with her past whilst not taking any crap.
Their relationship builds gradually as friends and leads into more naturally.

Fantastic story with great character building that makes me extremely excited to get started on book two following Declan.
