About this ebook

Even the Pharaoh's funeral isn't enough to stop temple politics.

With the mummification of the Pharaoh almost complete, and the funeral looming, there's a whole new range of complications for Ani. The other Blessed of Anubis all have their own agendas, and some of them don't seem to be too impressed by hers.

But with the support of the new Pharaoh, and her determination to prove her worth, Ani refuses to be stopped, especially not when there's a duty to Anubis to uphold.

I loved reading this story. Ani and Nik are so cute together. It’s fun seeing how they take on new challenges and navigate the obstacles before them. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but Ramesses does show up again in this book and based on certain events, I’m guessing he’ll play a bigger role in the next one. I’m eager to see what will come next!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

While others might be more interested in politics than their work, our heroine remains focused on performing her duty to the dead. This is book ten of the series. It works pretty well as a standalone. But if you want the full background, it would be more enjoyable if read from the start. Your call. This is a rather intriguing paranormal story with an Ancient Egypt theme in the modern world. The story is well written, easy to read and filled with bits of humor that help keep things occasiona

The King's mummification is nearly complete, and his funeral will be very soon, but Ani has come to realize that temple politics is even more complicated in Egypt than at the London temple. To make matters worse the prince, who once threatened to end her career, is present and Ani is concerned that he could follow through with his threat and even her recent friendship with the new Pharaoh won't be enough to protect her. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Egyptian mythology,
