I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Ani and Nik have become priestess and priest. Their relationship is progressing nicely. However there is an audit of the temple happening and Nik has been falsely accused. Despite proof found, his father won't lift his suspension. Good news is the investigation acknowledges the proof but there are changes in the air and the first is a big one.

A temple in chaos! Ani and Nik wanted to stop the corruption but they never thought it would be like this. They are wondering who will survive as the priestesses of Ma'at dig into every level of the Temples of Anubis. The stress is unbearable and temples are closing. Will theirs be next? This is getting exciting! As I read I started wondering if some of their friends would be fired or maybe even one of them. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

I’m pretty much completely in love with Ani and Nik by this point. I’m enchanted by their world and thoroughly caught up in the political machinations that surround them. I’m having so much fun watching this pair learning about their duties as priests to Anubis while rooting out the corruption in his temple. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
