Erica and Rupert used to be best friends until something changed and they barely spoke for years. But now they're both helping prepare for the end-of-year ball, which means working together even if they don't know how to do that.
They soon find themselves calling a truce in an attempt to keep things civil, and it becomes clear that neither of them is over their friendship ending.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2024This book is simply adorkable. You have a mythical weasel and a weasel shifter having to work together to get ready for the Academy Ball. Unfortunately, these former friends had a falling out. It was so much fun to read how the whole potential disaster works out.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2025Oh my gosh! That was just so ridiculously adorable. Erica and Rupert’s story shows just how powerful misconceptions can become and how important it can be to clear the air with the people who are important to you. I loved seeing this pair get to know one another again and be able to revive the friendship they once had. That their friendship also morphed into something new and greater, was just icing on a delightfully sweet cupcake.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2024MIXING DRINKS FOR TIPSY WEASELS is a standalone quick read and the 14th installment in the Obscure Academy fantasy romance series by Laura Greenwood. Ms Greenwood always manages to bring the characters to life. Many of her series (including this one), do not require reading in order. The are easy to read, and perfect for when you want something that's not too heavy, but has substance and is an entertaining quick read.
Erica and Rupert were childhood friends that fell apart over a stupid issue and have avoided each other for over 15 years. Now they have been teamed together to decorate for the Academy's end-of-year ball. Can they put the past behind them? Or, will the ruin the Ball for everyone?
From friends to antagonists to dating friends - Get ready for drama and snarkiness as these two non typical shifters, (Least Weasel and a Weasel Shifter) try to work together while past issues and doubts overshadow them.
Hilarious situations abound and will leave you laughing. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and the above is my voluntary and honest and review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2024After an incident in childhood ruptured their friendship, Erica & Rupert have avoided each other ever since. Erica wasn’t even aware that Rupert was attending the Obscure Academy until she sees him at a planning meeting for the end of the year ball. At first, they’re both unwilling to put their hurt aside, but as they spend more time together, their connection comes back and slowly shifts into something more.
A charming, sweet paranormal romance with childhood best friends reconnecting after years of animosity. Erica and Rupert are both relatable and the incident that ruined their friendship was definitely a typical childhood misunderstanding. I like how the differences in their magical abilities was addressed with Erica being a mythological creature that shifts into a weasel, where Rupert is a regular weasel shifter. The handling of the subject of alcoholism was well done and compassionate and Rupert’s care of Erica when she’s accidentally served alcohol was a highlight of the story. A great addition to this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2024Erika and Rupert are former childhood friends and current weasel shifters that find themselves at the same university. While Erika should be studying her psychology finals, she finds herself elbow deep in ball prep because it will look good on her resume. Rupert has also volunteered for ball prep, and no one is more surprised then they are to come across their former friend. The two attempt to work together, which forces them to mend fences and discuss their past disagreements. A serious of zany mishaps ensues, that draws the two ever closer together. This was a sweet quasi-enemies to lovers romance that fans of romantasy will enjoy.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2024i love this series and enjoy that you dont have to read them in order because they are all about different characters but from the same school and same group of friends. Erica is helping setting up for the end of the year ball when she happens to run into her ex-best-friend Rupert. she dosnt know why he hates her now but she vows to get along with him so they can set up for the ball. they both agree to get along and they start to med their friendship and they both start falling for each other but dont wanna say anything to each other. read the book to find out what happens to Erica and Rupert if they tell each other how they feel.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2024Erika should be studying for her exams but instead, she will be helping prepare for the end-of-year ball. To make have worse, the organizer paired her with Rupert, her childhood friend-turned-enemy. They haven't spoken for years and she doesn’t even know why. How can a childhood grudge last so many years?
This is a cute, clean falling-in-love story. I didn’t even know there were different types of paranormal weasels. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2024Former childhood friends, no longer friends are thrown together for a school event.
This story has a bit of everything. Former friendship, now enemies, misunderstanding,
confusion & possible love. Enjoyed the interactions between Rupert & Erica. A good pick me up weekend read.
