His Lethal Desire (West Coast Mobsters Book 1) Kindle Edition
There's nothing more lethal than a hitman in love.
When Castellani Family hitman Jack is ordered to find a missing Hollywood starlet, the last thing he expects is for his only lead to be the out-of-his-league guy who spent last night flirting with him.
Miller Beaumont is gorgeous, charming and looks at Jack like he’s the only person in the room. Jack was captivated from the moment their eyes met.
But Jack’s not built for love. Not after the sins he’s committed.
Yet as Jack works with Miller to find his sister, they get closer. And the closer they become, the more Jack drowns in Miller's light—even as shadows gather to tear them apart.
Loving Miller could be Jack’s chance for salvation...or the final nail in his coffin. Jack knows the cost of failure, but for Miller, he’s ready to risk it all.
But as danger closes in, will their love become a lethal mistake?

- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2022As soon as I finish the book, I pre-ordered the next book in the series. This was by far one of those books that is a five-plus star read. What a way to start a new series. It is spectacular.
The character of Jack was introduced in Vow of the Vigilante. He was an interesting character as soon as he was introduced. A hitman who was demoted to escorting the Monster of the Morellis and his FBI-on-the-lamb boyfriend. The book also introduced the Castellani Family. And what a family they are!
In His Lethal Desire, Jack takes center stage. He is tasked by Don Castellani with finding a missing starlet. When he finally talks to the young man who has been staring at him during his weekly visits to a dive, they hit it off and they spend the evening talking. The next day when Jack seeks the missing starlet's twin brother for information, he finds the young man from the bar.
The danger and mystery in this book are very well written. I truly had no solution in mind until the author began to review it piece by piece. The ending was terrific, much more than I expected, and sets up the next book (which I already preordered). The underworld of LA is much different from the NYC one. I am invested in seeing how these characters deal with the murder that I believe is the overarching one for the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2024A mob hitman falls for ex childhood actor/painter. Jack was ordered by the head of the mob to find a woman who turned out to be Miller's twin sister, Annie. Fall for Miller wasn't the plan, but Jack did, and he fell hard. Once Annie turns up dead, it comes to who killed her and why. That's where it starts to get interesting and fun to read. Can't wait to see how it all plays out in the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2023I’m giving this five stars, more for the category of mm romance mafia mystery, than for this being the best book I’ve ever read. Of the mm mafia romance series I’ve read, I think this one kept my attention the best and had characters that I truly liked.
Some series contain a lot more violence and sustained torture to the point where it’s just too much for me but these books didn’t tip that point for me.
I started this series reading book two then three theeen I just had to know more about Jack’s story so I read book one. I really liked all of the main characters in each of their books and that they are still included in later books so we see how they’re doing. I’ve really enjoyed the mystery to be solved in each book and found it was really easy to get caught up in the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2024Series where a new couple is introduced in each book are my favorite things to read, and this one is definitely in my top favorites. I loved the romance between Jack and Miller. They are such a sweet couple, but the mystery aspect is fabulous! I read mm for the romance but I like more than just sex scenes, I need a story. I only wish these were on audible because I am getting nothing done because I can’t stop reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2023I started to read this book and suddenly I realized I was already at chapter 5! This story drew me in so thoroughly that I forgot I was reading a book and just felt like I was living the events along with the characters. Jack and Miller are both believable characters who are so good together. From their first meeting their interactions are both hot and yet tender at the same time. Jack is so protective of Miller even if it means putting himself in danger. The story plot is intricate and kept me guessing until the end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and I'm going to immediately start reading the next book in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2023Glad we got Jack’s story in this one after being given breadcrumbs in Angelo’s story. Jack got sent on a mission, this could be his way out from under Legg’s thumb. Or maybe it’s a test. Miller doesn’t know who to trust, he knows his family is out, Nate’s just a semi friend, he has really no one, not until he meets Jack. These two play PI in the disappearance of Millers sister but there’s more to it. They begin to lean on each other when neither has had anyone in so long. Jack gets delayed again in leaving when Sandro needs him now more than ever. Enjoying this spinoff.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2024Intricate story that kept one guessing. Love. Hate. Intrigue. Warped sense of honor. I want more of these two complex characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2022What happens when a Pinto-driving-former-hitman for the mob falls in love with a former child star? Bring on the HEAT. This book sizzles once Jack, JJ, Johnny Jacopo accepts his attraction to the lonely-in-a-crowd young man, ten years his junior at 26yo Miller Beaumont. Jack’s mob boss Ciro Castellani has asked him to find out the whereabouts of Miller’s sister, Anaïs (Annie) Beaumont and Ciro tells Jack to start with her brother Miller. Their attraction is immediate. Jack is so sure that this job will get him back in favor with Don Castellani that he doesn’t question the Don’s motives for choosing him. His first mistake which he is prone to making to hear him tell it.
Miller is lost. His family is only that in name. He used to be close to his twin, Annie until they had an argument. His father has never wanted him around and his mother herself is never around and purely self-absorbed. So, what does he do to counteract loneliness? He has lots of pool parties at his father’s estate. At one such party he re-meets the man from the bar whose hat he took home. Oh. My. Word…there will be steamy, thrilling, scary, honest and great moments in this book. I am loving this new series. Already planning on reading the next book. At the end of LETHAL DESIRE, the author offers a free short story about Nate and Freddie. On to read it right now! If you like skilled writing of mafia men who are honest to themselves and the love they find by accident, you will want to read this one. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Gay Romance Reviews.

5.0 out of 5 stars Missing Actress, Burglaries and Bodies
For months, hitman Jack has been relegated to crap jobs by the Castellani family, because of a mistake he made.
He's now an errand boy and hates it.
Apart from his one duty at a club where a cute guy checks him out.
One night sparks fly but the next day, jack finds his latest job is hunting down a missing actress, who happens to be the sister of the hot, young guy from the club; Miller.
Of course when they meet up again, Miller insists on helping with the hunt.
There's a lot of chemistry between them, sweetness, great banter, amidst a violent action-filled background and a great mystery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a read
An unexpectedly sweet romance (well, in between the gory bits ;) ) Nicely twisted plot, solid main characters and good supporting cast.

5.0 out of 5 stars couldn’t put it down!
This had everything I enjoy in a book…mystery, mob and great characters. Jack and Miller were great together. Jack was gruff but caring and loving too. Miller had a difficult childhood never really knowing love from his wealthy family. The chemistry is immediate, I enjoyed the banter between them and it had me guessing til the end. I look forward to Sandro’s story next.
