Not going to lie, this book was a bit longer compared to the previous books in the series, but it was great. The case that Amy and Ambrose solve in this one takes a little longer, and it was a nice change of pace. It was a nice read and I enjoyed the extra words. The fifth book in the series and Amy and Ambrose have a new case to solve and it is a doozy. Their relationship is also growing stronger by the day as is Amy's relationship with her sister, Topaz. The murder is a true mystery and the more they investigate the more they uncover a family at war with itself. At the same time a very unexpected job opportunity comes up for Amy but will she be able to that job and continue working with Ambrose and continue with her wand making, both of which fulfill her so much? The author is doing a wonderful job of keeping the flow of the character evolution smooth and consistent throughout the series and with each book we get to explore more of the different characters which is also a lot of fun and very entertaining. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Amy and Ambrose have another murder mystery to solve, this time it will be harder as everything goes up in flames. There are surprises and secrets in this story. The best lines I liked were from Stacey, she says her rules for dating are: “No dating guys with religious names” and “no dating guys named after chess pieces.” It was funny when you learn the full name of the guy she is not dating. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next one. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
