Despite going away to celebrate Amy's birthday, the duo quickly find themselves involved in a mystery onboard when a fellow passenger turns up dead.
With limited resources, and needing the cooperation of the crew, their work is cut out for them if they don't want the killer to escape the moment they dock.

Amy and Ambrose
Amy and Ambrose went to go on a cruise with friends for her birthday but not much of a birthday cruise ended up solving a murder. Good book!.

Murder on a Cruise
Something about this series just makes me chuckle. Amy’s obsession with solving murders is like she is constantly wanting to play the game Clue. Even for her birthday cruise, she and her friends play murder mystery event on the trip. A bit fortuitous about the killer in the game matches to that real occurrence that Ambrose, Amy, Stacey and Gabriel solve. The epilogue segues into the next story of Amy’s saga.

"This is a mystery out in the wild. It feels like a discovery."
Amethyst's friends are going to help her celebrate her thirtieth birthday in style, but even they hadn't planned on giving her what she enjoys most, and stumbling across a murder in need of solving.
This done in one story is a great deal of fun, in large part because Detective Ambrose, ME Stacy, forensics expert Gabriel and consultant Amethyst are not just in mental/emotional vacation mode, but being on a cruise ship means they are without the morgue, the lab, the computers... so many of the resources they are used to turning to for help analyzing information, which really highlights what they use the tech for, and how it helps vs. the great many things they do, and have the skills and knowledge to complete without the aid of fancy gadgets.
I was gifted a copy of Cruises and Bruises and chose to share my thoughts.
