About this ebook

As if temple politics wasn’t enough, now Ani has to deal with the royal court.

Having aided with the mummification of the previous Pharaoh, Ani is somewhat surprised to discover she's expected to stay in Egypt for longer, this time to serve during the coronation of the next one.

Despite her budding friendship with the new Queen, Ani thought she'd be at home, but instead, she's dealing with the displeasure of the High Blessed, attention from the royal court, and run-ins with her sort-of-ex.

At least she doesn't have to do it alone, and with Nik and Matia by her side, she can do anything.

These wonderfully well written and compelling characters keep getting better and better. I absolutely adore Ani and Nik, and let’s face it, Ani’s blessed jackal Matia is always a fun addition to the cast of characters. This is a slow burn sweet romance that is a must-read book in a fantastic series that I highly recommend to any reader.

I adore Ani, Nik, and Matia, and I am loving watching their continuing adventures. I’m not quite sure what this one is setting up for their future, as Ani’s work ethic and generosity of spirit get recognized and rewarded by the new Pharoah. I can’t wait to see what the author has up her sleeve for us next. Fingers crossed it’s a wedding. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.

A powerful new friend. With the pharaoh’s funeral completed, Ani is looking forward to returning to London. Her marriage to Nik and moving to their temple home will have to wait until after the coronation of the new pharaoh. I enjoyed this next chapter in Ani and Nik's lives. They have a beautiful romance and I like the descriptive writing that gives me a vivid image of the scenes. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
