V. de la Cruz was born in Mexico and raised in the Baja California and San Diego areas; she currently resides in Reno, Nevada. At age 11, she read “Carrie” by Stephen King, which ignited her affinity for the horror genre in literature and film. Shortly after, she read J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, sparking a life-long fondness for fantasy and adventure. An artist and creative at heart, she encompasses her life around various artistic mediums: writing poetry, lyrics, composing music, drawing, painting, professional makeup with a focus on horror special fx, among others. Her passion for art and the written word are depicted in her story telling.
