I'm a Jack-of-All-Trades Making a Dent in the Universe
Author. Publisher. Blogger. Spin Writer. SEO Guru. Artist. Designer. All rolled into one chaotic, caffeine-fueled creative machine—that’s me! I’ve got a thousand and one ideas bursting in my brain like fireworks on New Year’s Eve, and I’m on a mission to share them with the world. Why? Because I’m hoping—no, praying—that my dreams, ideas, fantasies, and whatnots can make a big difference in someone’s life. (In a good way, of course. No dystopian novels here… yet.)
I’m a self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, master of… well, some. My ultimate goal? To make a dent in this crazy world and leave it a little better than I found it. Lofty? Maybe. But hey, someone’s gotta do it.
From Sta. Cruz, Laguna to the World
Born and raised in the picturesque town of Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Philippines, I’ve spent over two decades in the wild world of publishing. I’ve worked with two of the Philippines’ leading publishing houses, Vibal and Diwa, wearing hats as a layout artist, illustrator, and art director. (Yes, I’ve survived deadlines, printer jams, and the occasional existential crisis.)
Somewhere along the way, I decided to go rogue and set up my own desktop publishing shop, specializing in book layout and design. It was like running a creative circus, but hey, I loved every minute of it.
The Comic Strip Chronicles
Then came my foray into the world of comic strips. My first creation, Kritterland, is a quirky parallel universe where ants live lives eerily similar to ours. It’s been a work-in-progress for 20 years—yes, you read that right. (What can I say? Ants are complicated creatures.)
From Kritterland, I spawned other comic strips like Ants World, Silent Witness, and David’s Adventure, all of which I’m slowly turning into a humor-fantasy comic book series. (Stay tuned. It’s coming… eventually.)
The Writer in Me
But wait, there’s more! Along the way, I discovered I had this itch for writing. I started scribbling on social media, and one day I thought, What the heck—if I’m this serious about writing, I might as well publish my own books. And just like that, the author in me was born.
Now, let’s get one thing straight: I’m not a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious author. (Yes, I Googled how to spell that.) I’m just someone who loves to write. My former boss once told me I had a knack for it, so here I am, giving it my all.
Do I have a lot to learn? Absolutely. My grammar can be faulty, my sentences run-on, and my punctuation… well, let’s not go there. But one thing’s for sure: I write from the bottom of my heart. Every word, every story, every kilig-to-the-bones moment comes from a place of pure, unfiltered passion.
Hopeless Romantic at Heart
Speaking of kilig, I’m a hopeless romantic. I love writing romance-comedy stories that make your heart flutter and your toes curl. Why? Because deep down, we’re all romantic fools. (Admit it. You cried during The Notebook.)
But don’t worry—I’m not all fluff and fairy tales. Every once in a while, I dabble in non-fiction too. Just don’t hold your breath waiting for a new one. (I’m busy perfecting my rom-coms, okay?)
Writing: My Happy Pill and Safe Haven
At the end of the day, writing and producing my own books has become my happy pill, my safe haven, my creative escape. It’s where I pour my heart, my soul, and my endless supply of caffeine-fueled energy.
So, whether you’re here for the romance, the humor, or just to see what this jack-of-all-trades is up to, welcome to my world. Let’s make a dent in the universe together—one story at a time.
P.S. If you spot a grammar mistake in this bio, no you didn’t. 😉
