Chad Pettit is the author of The Song of the Risen series and other works of speculative fiction from a Christian world view. He is a Sunday School Director and a preacher of the gospel with a passion for helping others understand the Bible. He is also a poet with a focus on blue-collar America and war-related poetry. His poems have appeared in both online and print literary journals.

Chad grew up in Oregon and then travelled around over the course of ten years while serving as an infantry soldier in the U.S. Army. He was deployed to Iraq twice as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chad has also been a Taekwondo instructor, a fuel lab technician, and a CNC Machinist in the semi-conductor industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Texas A&M University Central Texas and teaches English at an early college high school in Central Texas where he lives with his wife, four boys, and a crazy dog.

Chad can usually be found reading speculative fiction. His favorites are epic fantasy and biblical fiction stories with dynamic characters and well-crafted cliffhangers. He also enjoys football, coffee, and apple fritters, though not in that order.
