About the author

Kay Cordell Whitaker

Kay Cordell Whitaker is an elder, grandmother, and the only known lineage keeper of Ka Ta See in the modern world, an ancient spiritual tradition with roots in Peru, Lemuria, and the Egyptian Mystery Teachings. For more than five decades, she has lived, practiced, and taught wisdom that was safeguarded for thousands of years and entrusted to her by her adoptive grandparents and teachers, Domano and Chea Hetaka of Peru, as well as a Berber wisdom keeper from Egypt.

As head of The School of Ka Ta See and its lead instructor, Whitaker has dedicated her life to helping people release destructive patterns, reclaim their sovereignty, and reconnect with their Song—the vibrant essence of who they are. Her teaching style is warm, nonjudgmental, and experiential, making ancient practices accessible to seekers of all backgrounds. Whether in live workshops, online classes, or through her writing, Whitaker’s mission is clear: to share the practices of Ka Ta See and the teachings of Isis so that individuals can remember their truth and weave lives of love, beauty, and freedom.

Whitaker is the author of three acclaimed books—The Reluctant Shaman, Sacred Link, and The Weavings: Dawn of a New World—each offering a deeper look into the ancient knowledge she carries. She has appeared on local and regional television, hosted a live radio program for years, and has been featured on numerous podcasts. Through her active YouTube channel and regular community talks, she continues to connect with students worldwide.

Teaching since 1987, Whitaker has guided thousands of students from across the globe—including Europe, Asia, and Australia—through ceremonies, healing practices, and the rediscovery of their own innate wisdom. Today, she continues to write, teach, and inspire through her company, A World In Balance, while also enjoying her role as a great-grandmother.
