Sara Harkness Bovitz came to writing after turns as a starving actress, a photojournalist, a development worker in Central America, and a medical doctor in the Pacific Northwest. Along the way she became a wife, a mother, a widow, and an only-parent. She lives with her family in Portland, Oregon, and fortunately her sense of humor remains intact. She is still a work-in-progress.
