Margaret Pinard is a Portland author whose historical works explore immigrant stories in early 19th century Scotland and struggles for agency in Gilded Age America, among other experimental flights of fancy. Her books include three historical fiction, one historical mystery, one time-travel young adult, and her latest is a short story collection of speculative fiction: FABLED PASSAGES (10/22).
