Sophie Kiwelu is a banker turned journalist. She opted to retire from the bank early to pursue her passion for writing. Since then she has received a diploma for creative writing from The Writers Bureau of Manchester UK and has succeeded in writing and publishing a Christian motivational book called the Mystery of Horses.
She is also a mother of four children living in Nairobi, Kenya. Much of her inspiration is from her late husband Lawrence Kiwelu who worked hard to support her as she was training to become a writer.
